"Misfit" drawing + Inktober Sketches

Hello lovely people,

I'm catching up to Inktober slowly but surely!

The one you see here finished is Day 14, or drawing 14, or however you want to call it. Since I decided to stop following the prompts, I renumbered all the drawings in order of creation rather than in order of prompt completed, so this is the 14th drawing I created for the challenge.

I spent today sketching out the next couple of days, and you can see those sketches below.

The first will represent a character gently melting into lava, with smoke coming out of the head and cracks in the body. I want it to be fairly peaceful and the character is in somewhat of a meditative pose.  I partially chose that concept so that I could experiment with textures and black and white to mimic hot lava and cooling rock. I suspect this one will be tricky but enjoyable to ink.

The second is an idea I had for the prompt "Ghost". The character is seen from the back, with the skin of the back flowing like a curtain. It will be slightly translucent, and so far, my plan is to have a figure showing through he curtain from inside the hollow character. Hollow person, translucent veil..Just a few of my favourite things. XD

Thank you for being all the loveliest, I'm reaching the halfway point with all the inktober drawings, which feels good, and I have also found some time and energy this week to start the September painting, as well as come up with a few colour comps for the pin design you voted on last month.
I'll share all of those soon with you.

I have now added prints of all my drawings up to now on my shop. Originals will go up in the next couple of weeks, and some are still available to reserve.

I also wanted to give you a quick update regarding my pain, as a few of you have asked :

The gist is that I have had pain on the right side of my body for a while now, pretty much starting after my Inktober 2017 series. I wasn't used to drawing so intensely back then, and didn't take proper care of myself, plus I started work on Game of Thrones season 7 (or 8? I don't remember) right after, and both of those activities were very harsh on my shoulders and all my joints.

Since then, I've had shoulder, neck, back, elbow, wrist and finger pain on the right side of my body. I have since implemented a lot of things to help lessen and mitigate the pain and consequences of my job. I will be making a full post with all the info I have gathered, and all the various things I do to make things better for myself, as I am getting that question more and more, and I think it's an important topic to discuss.
In the meantime, thank you so much for all being so understanding and lovely, do know that I am taking care of myself, and as much as I joke that I keep drawing too much detail and super intricate drawings and that I am idiot for injuring myself, I never work past the point where I start feeling pain, and I do a lot of things to not make everything worse for myself.
I hope that can reassure those of you who have been worrying about me. You are the loveliest.

Thank you again and always for being so amazing,
I hope you are all well,
Love, M
