Hello lovely people,
So, I am already failing at my "taking it easy this year" decision for Inktober...
But I had so much fun with this piece! I love working in tiny detail, and creating different layers of elements in a piece....This one took me a few hours, but it was a fun start to the month.
I titled it "Felled", and was created for day 1 of Inktober, with the prompt "Ring".
I have been inspiring myself from the artist Will Murrai a lot for this year's drawings, as I absolutely love his ink sketches, and his plants and environments.
I used fineliners for this piece, instead of the planned brush pens because I felt like drawing thin lines and tons of detail.
I just received the most amazing package from Virginia, full of wonderful pens from Japan, and I mostly used those for this drawing. They are delightful, and I will probably run them into the ground this month, haha!
She got me some Sakura Pigma Microns, some copic multiliners and a couple of brush pens, and they are all perfect for Inktober, so I'm excited to get to grips with them in the coming weeks!
A massive thank you to Virginia for her amazing gift!
I hope you are all well,
I'm currently feeling very cosy, tucked away in my studio with a cup of tea while a thunderstorm rages outside.
Now, I'm off to try and sketch a few more pieces in preparation for the rest of the week.
Take care peeps!
A NOTE ABOUT BUYING/RESERVING PIECES
As per usual, I will be selling the originals of my Inktobers, so you are welcome to reserve any piece you would like. You guys will be seeing the pieces first so long as I don't finish them too late in the day, so you by default get first dibs, although all bets are off once they go on my Instagram.
I don't know when I will be sending the originals off, it likely won't be before mid to end November, so be aware of that if you want to buy one.
The originals for this series will be $100, and your patreon discount codes are valid on them.
