Should I update my Tier art?

Ok, this is a really random little poll, haha, but I wanted you guys' opinion on something...

I am thinking of maybe changing my Tier images and Titles to something more "to the point". Making the $1 tier a "Sketchbook Scan" tier for example, with an icon of a sketchbook, similar to the icons I used as header banners in my last update post. I think it would be more visually striking, if less creative.

I really like my lil paint swatches, but I am worried that the fact that it is not obvious what you get per tier might deter people from reading them and pledging.

What do you all think?

Hahahaha, its's quite funny! Food for thought though :)

Oh no the result of this poll is not helpful at all! haha

Yes, I think I#ll be trying to get a good middle ground! I like having fun tier images and names, it makes things more personal, and reflects my slightly goofy personality too, so I don't want to go too impersonal. But maybe I should look into a way of making them a bit more clear...

That's good to know, thanks Christina! That's how I go by it too, haha. I do like having more artsy tiers, I think it tends to attract people with a similar mind set, but I have no idea whether it is stinting my growth or not. I wouldn't want to do too dry either, because that would not reflect who I am, but maybe I can try and figure out and in-between....?

Oh, interesting, what did you find confusing? I have added brackets with each tier title, do you think that might help a little already?

I do too, but I know from experience that we are part of very rare species, hahaha

So do I! I think you might be thinking of Saruca Tepes? I saw a couple with teas, they are lovely, and I always find it very enticing when people have lovely personalized tiers, but I have no idea how generalized that is. I also know that people who read descriptions thoroughly are frustratingly rare, haha. I definitely wish I could keep the tiers fun and artsy, I do like them that way, so maybe i'll try and think of a way of combinign both.....

Indeed. I am very torn, haha

I agree, although my doubts come from the fact that people, especially on Patreon, like to feel things are a bit more personal. I am so torn! Thanks for your insight!

I agree with what most others are saying; the tier names are a wonderful thing and you should keep them! It's like being part of a group! But clarity is something to keep in mind; perhaps adding the photos, but keeping the names? I dunno, just a thought!

I was positive surprised when I first saw your tiers. I liked the idea and if someone want to spend money, he/she will read properly I think. (I can only speak for myself but I thought about how much I can spend monthly without regretting it because I have to eat pasta for the rest of the month, and then I checke what tiers you have for this amount. (And then I was curious what you offer in higher tiers so I read them too xD)

I think the paint swatches are clever however, I have to admit that when I first subscribed I was slightly confused. I think straightforward may be a good idea especially for newcomer patrons.

I’ve been a patron of 3 different Patreon peeps and I personally take the time to read what each tier’s benefits are. But that’s the kind of person I am!

I personally like when the tiers names and art are a bit creative. I saw one, I am afraid I cannot remember who, that had used different types of tea. I think it can really tell what sort of person you are and make it more personal. I always thoroughly read the rewards because I am eager to see what goodies are available. If you feel like changing them, you should of course do that. However I feel like the tiers are sort of clubs you want to be a member of. I would rather be a member of for instance "dark light" than "sketchbook scan". Just sharing my thoughts! I am more than happy to be here either way ❤️

I think it's a great idea I agree with Suzannah I'm sure people read it too but it's better to be sure

Clarity is always better when money & exchange of goods/services are involved... but I am sure people read it now too! :)
