NOTE: My plan is to aim for a chapter of Innocent Devil's Harem this upcoming week, and then I will likely try to alternate stories again (back and forth, one chapter at a time), but we are getting close to a really big plot event happening for Combat Healer that will be intense.

FEEDBACK: Thoughts?
1. Thoughts on Eliza's section? Is the suspense increasing there with the crows?
2. Thoughts about intimacy with Sera? Do you like the 'proposition' that Allister made to her? (And her acceptance of that proposition?)
3. Thoughts about Krystal and how she's been acting? Both the 'fearful of monster' thing, as well as what she said at the end?
Next chapter is when shit will finally hit the fan, lol.

Out of Kaizer's many sex scenes in his various stories, I may have liked Sera's best. I'm not sure why. Sera does seem very sexy and into having sex with Allister. Kaizer made an unlikely sexual encounter at least plausible with his backstory. IMO there was a wart in the story - marrying a cock (no matter if it was just dirty talk, a play for her bad girl kink, or whatever other reason) was a huge strike against my love of romance and real personal relationships. If Allister is going to have a relationship with Sera at all, I hope the before-mentioned love between them really exists and comes to the forefront. I am ambivalent about Krystal. I am tired of a thousand and one girls being added to his harem (or Kai's in the other story). I would have been fine with only Eliza and Wren. None of the other women have shown the same level of devotion as these two (loved him for years as if he were the reason they existed). Val is obviously devoted to him, but he hasn't really shown the same level of devotion to her IMO. While I agree with Drew that story progression is painfully slow in IDH, I disagree that "the sex is the plot". The sex is never the plot in a real story. While I don't mind, the occasional 'steamy stuff', that is most certainly not why I am here.

2025-12-12 19:08:50 +0000 UTCI’ve been following off and on for a few years now because I love the worlds and characters that you’ve created, but your actual story progression is painfully slow. IDH has been like that for a long time now - ever since the confrontation with his father it seems half of any given chapter is Kai monologue-ing like he’s auditioning to be a Bond villain, but lately Combat Healer has gotten even worse. I know that you’ve said she’s going to be important to the story going forward, but we’ve had five chapters devoted to “Alister sleeps with his mother in law” with a small side helping of “the crows are gathering”. I know we’re here for the steamy stuff, and sometimes “the sex is the plot” but a whole five chapter (and still going?) arc feels a bit much when nothing else is really happening.
