POLL - Story Arcs of IDH (Ch 166)

The story of Innocent Devil's Harem has arcs, where sometimes the focus is more on plot (and there is almost no steamy stuff), and other times the story is more focused on the relationships (and there is a lot more steamy content).

I plan on always having both, back and forth, but I am wondering which you prefer most?

I assume most of you guys like both (plot and steamy stuff), but please choose your #1 preference:

(Especially at this point in the story - if you mainly want to see slice-of-life relationship building, then pick that option instead of a 'both' option)

Well bring on plenty of SoL sex. I agree with Salsa and Chips. Your sex scenes are some of, if not best I've read. So more plot but definitely more hot sex stuff.

Tracy Carlton

I honestly needed to hear this, lol.

I do know there are some people who like reading HaremLit because it tends to have more intriguing plots (just in general) compared to other genres. There are definitely people who regularly read HaremLit but skip the sex scenes (as this poll shows).

And yes apparently I’m the only one that feels this way lol bc I’m the 1% voting relationships

Listen man, I love your story. I haven’t read CH yet but when I discovered IDH I stayed up till 6am binge reading it on Literotica. Then when I was all caught up there I found myself buying tiers on Patreon for the first time ever. I kept upgrading that night bc I needed to keep reading and seeing what happens next. Your action scenes and drama scenes kept me on my toes and keep me crawling back for more. However, if I’m being honest I’m mostly here for the hot, crazy, and wildly supernatural sex scenes. I’m really looking forward to the tail sex, I’d love to read about how Liz has a furnace vagina that feels like a warm wet blanket during sex and more. Kai growing his dick with Meriam was really hot. I need more descriptive sex scenes with all the old girls too. Serenity, Gabriella, Michelle, REBECCA. Oh my god they’re all so left out. All I need to keep me here is more crazy hot sex.

Salsa and Chips

Personally, I feel like both SoL and drama/action are equally important to IDH

Christopher Miller

Both idh and ch have great plot to them and the world's you build, especially in CH, are excellent. You've had entire chapters that have been SoL which have been great and you've had solid steamy episodes as well but it's plot for me, I'm trying to figure out when my interest wanes and I think it's when it's been mainly reveals and SoL chained together without any action or tense situations. Big fan of your writing, love your chapters.

In what manner (or which parts) feel like they have caused the story to go off the rails?

Author Kaizer Wolf

There will always be both. I originally thought I had worded this Poll well, but in hindsight it seems I have caused some confusion on what I am really asking. This story has arcs and my main goal was to determine what percentage of you guys prefer slice-of-life arcs (that focus mainly on the relationships) over drama/action arcs. I assumed the split was about 50/50 and it appears that is correct.

Author Kaizer Wolf

Only now do I realize that I worded this incorrectly. The question is not 'no plot' vs 'plot,' the question is more 'slice-of-life plot' vs 'drama/action plot' that is more serious (and more high-stakes or at least less relaxing). The story is always going to have both, but whether the story is low-stakes/chill (and focused on the relationships) or high-stakes/thrill depends on the arc we are currently in. That being said, this poll does still accomplish my purpose for posting it, which is to reveal that what I thought is true: it is about a 50/50 split between those who have a preference for the slice-of-life arcs (of relationship building) and those who prefer the drama/action arcs.

This is Haremlit. How do you have haremlit without sex? What's the point of that? So yes we need plot and for the story to flow but once again without sex what's the point. If you don't like sex in your stories perhaps haremlit is not really your thing.

Tracy Carlton

I've been following this story for a good while. While I enjoy it greatly it admittedly frustrates me how slow the story progresses at times. At the moment if I'm remembering right, it's been less than a month in the timeline of the story.

Zachary Fink

It may just be me, but it feels like the story has gone off of the rails a bit. I’ll be here for it, but that’s my $.02

Scot Kinney

Honestly, I cannot imagine one without the other. The plot introduces new women to the story and adds new wrinkles to the relationships. The relationships drive the plot forward and keeps us engaged. For instance, the whole episode where Kai was forced to "kill" his father only came about because he ultimately did it to not only save Delilah, but to protect Serenity and Liz as well. If things had turned out differently Ren would have been wearing a slave ring like Laura, even if John would've had issues recompelling her. Things happened because of Kai's commitments to his women

Christopher Miller

I get the title it has harem in it, but it definitely needs the plot, the harem and whole sex and relationships are just a bonus, because there is more to nonhuman world than just sex.
