NOTE: This is definitely one of those chapters that, despite being only a little above average in length (about 7500 words), took a ridiculous amount of time to actually get written.
Largely because thereโs a lot of moving parts, and a lot of decisions that have to be made regarding the plot (as well as the order I cover these events).

I remember the queen's estimated out come with the 3 girls. So I was not worried but it was still a surprise of the strength of the assault.

I am heavily concerned for Celestine/Astaer, Mel, Lyla's situation, as I know Mel and Val are strong enough fighters to be the main protecting force, but I do think Lyla will need to level up or unlock another ability for them to have a chance of surviving thousands of Eldritch eyes and tentacles. To be fair, I do still consider the Greater Eldritch "mother" a monster, but it shows she was not lying when she spoke about her daughter's immortality. She said in her decaying moments that she would borrow "Blake" but that Blake was immortal, so I am glad that was proven with her half-elf sister.

2023-10-29 17:32:50 +0000 UTCWeird, there's an issue with comments on the patreon app. If I open comments I can see them but if I then start to scroll through comments the whole comments pane disappears but if I keep my finger on the screen and scroll back up the comments pane reappears. The result being that I can comment, and I can look at the first couple of comments but nothing else. Anyone else using the android patreon app and experiencing this issue?

I hope Lyra can manifest another new ability or something. As for the match up between Mother "B" I think MC got really lucky with the manifestation of disintegrate for sure but I don't think she will underestimate him again in their next meet up. I'm not sure I fully trust the sister but we will see! Again well done!

Im curious how the essence cost works but cannot remember if you gave specifics about it for barrier. Was definitely curious about strength / speed match up to MC vs Mother Dearest, nicely conveyed his frustration to panic to get split-second actions to occur while hasted. I think it was interesting that she started negotiating right when she realized he was more than the rest of the world's "simple healers" Did not expect the sister to resurrect but it makes sense given the eldritch eyes.

2023-10-23 05:29:57 +0000 UTCThe sisters' Eldritch Eyes are functionally the same as a full-blooded Eldritch. The only main disadvantage they have is that, if they do find themselves in the same body as the eyes of their mother, then she would easily overcome their consciousness. But 'normally,' the eyes of two different Eldritch can't coexist in the same body. Only reason why it's possible in this case is because of the biological relationship. Which is implied in this chapter, that she can only borrow the power of her daughters (and likewise, that this Elfriede person has been stealing the power of his spawn in a similar manner).

2023-10-23 05:07:57 +0000 UTCProbably not, as I've seen people abuse that kind of information in the name of 'being helpful' to other readers (and it ends up being a bad thing). I don't want to get into the specifics of what I'm talking about, but I would strongly recommend re-reading the story if you are forgetting characters, especially since all the main characters get a pretty long introduction (as in, each main character has multiple chapters dedicated to introducing them and getting to know them).

2023-10-23 04:59:45 +0000 UTCUmm, the gender is not wrong, as in 'it is a guy,' but that's kind of the problem with picking out names for characters. I either have to create a name like Remitay that sounds fantasy-like but isn't too strange, and/or try to come up with something that 'sounds old' (and/or fantasy-like), but that apparently might be used totally differently in real life from what I had intended. Basically meaning, I decided on the name without consideration to whether or not it was a guy or girl's name in real life, picking it purely because of how it sounded. I may have to pick out a different name. The 'friede' part is the part that I was primarily wanting. Something like 'Siegfried.' Initially, I'd come up with something like Eldefriede, but then discovered that Elfriede was an actual name, and thought 'well, why not just use that then.'

2023-10-23 04:12:07 +0000 UTCGreat chapter, now that I've completely caught up with both stories the weekly wait is a killer! I actually thought Blake might die even though harem characters don't seem to in your stories, but since Blake was new I wondered if that was a possibility. I loved the open door of how the mc could possibly evolve. The battle occurring will definitely be a harrowing one from the sound of it, I would assume they would need to control shrink the barrier so that it's less to main, but that would require quick communication and the rest of the combatants would need to fall back and organize very quickly. Great evil character, also the shadow teleporting ability hides what she is truly capable of and leaves a lot of possibilities open. I wonder if both of the half breed Eldritchs will now stick in close proximity to the mc to mitigate another engulfing possibility and what steps the mc can take to actually prevent it from happening again. The Val battle sounds like they'll try to rapid barrier their way until sunlight and then Mel will scorch the earth, bit of a test of her determination characteristic! The fact that the elder Eldritch eyes could be a potential ally is interesting, also essentially all the harem characters need a lot more training to be able to survive Eldritch eye assaults, they clearly want to work together but they seem too used to operating as a team but someone individually since they're all more than capable of taking on a typical dungeon. The MC seems to need a lot more information, he's completely reacting to situations and has no idea of what has happened historically to know anything more than what's happening in the moment. Great idea to make the elder Eldritch eyes intelligent enough to not be baited. Blake's sister resurrecting was unexpected, it's kinda cool that he'll have to assassiny bodyguards with him at all time and that'll effect how he's perceived greatly not to mention that they will need to learn how they should behave during different types of interactions. Another great chapter for sure! Can't wait for the next drop!

2023-10-23 04:08:53 +0000 UTCAs for Mel, Val and Layla I wasn't nervous because the queen estimated a near zero percent chance of failure for them. I did briefly think there was a chance of Blake not surviving, but if that occured I knew that her mother wouldn't survive Allie's wrath.
