It was absolutely accurate that Claire was on the precipice of an event that would cause her death, but that there could also be something that would save her. And while the spell did not work as intended, it did provide more than enough magic for Claire to be able to resurrect. The question is now how close will she be to her seemingly human version, and is there any memory lapse with the resurrection?

2023-10-14 13:37:35 +0000 UTCIncredible build up. The revelations just keep coming. Each strand of plot woven together so deliberately. I know you have to shift to CH for a bit, but DAMN I want more. This made me think of Locke and Rachel from FF6. Locke using the legendary esper Phoenix’s magicite to revive her after she was placed in stasis through a curse to prevent her death after she suffered brutal injuries. But you flipped that story and made it so much more by Claire being the Phoenix! Awesome chapter.

I knew her being a bird in the painting meant something but a Phoenix makes this tragedy blosso into hopeful reunion. Great story as always
