Some people go by their middle names, so it could easily be Rosana Serafina.
But the question is, which name do you prefer?
I also have an option for 'Serafina' at the bottom.

Ren is something that's only used in a dialogue, whereas Serenity/Rosa would be used in narration. Also, when dealing with shorter names, a 4 letter word usually doesn't get confused with a 3 letter one. However, when the names get longer, like Serenity vs Savannah, a quick glance can make them confusing, especially when reading. (Savannah was Avery's original name back when I was writing the first 15 or so chapters).

2022-01-09 23:46:34 +0000 UTCQuestion? If you were trying to differentiate Serenity and Serafina why choose to both have short nicknames beginning with R (Rosa and Ren)? Maybe have Serafina go by Fini or Fina, something else not beginning with "R"? For me personally I'll have zero problems keeping them separated. Ren has been around since chapter #1 and is arguably the 3rd most developed character behind Kai and Miriam. But, ya know I'm obsessed by IDH and I constantly reread it, so maybe I'm not the best point of reference. 😆 ::Edit::. How about Ana as Rosa's nickname? From Rosana, the only possible conflict I'd see would be Avery and those names seem further apart.

2022-01-09 01:14:49 +0000 UTCThat was actually my main concern. A little interesting fact: Avery's name was originally going to be Savannah. However, when editing, it quickly became evident that the name Serenity and Savannah were so close that it was easy to misread which character was being spoken about. I've tried to keep that in mind with all my names. Sera might work, but I would definitely worry about Serafina getting mixed up with Serenity (both start with S, and they both have 8 letters). It's why I went with Rosa, since the other major R name is Rebecca, which is almost double the length of Rosa. It's one of those things most people probably never even thought mattered, but it really does.
