Thank you for your feedback, that’s a fair point on the goddesses. I think book two will have to have them on the sides or something 🤔

2026-02-04 22:35:46 +0000 UTCIf you haven’t read the story it makes for an interesting cover. But I think, like Iladriel has already mentioned, the RR cover is more eye catching than this one. But I think the cover should include something from his power. Or something like the shadow of Sera and Ulana to show that it’s not just a story about 1 guy. But 1 guy that creates and destroys connections like no one before him has I know it’s a lot, sorry for that 😅 just trying to give my honest opinion

2026-02-04 22:34:28 +0000 UTCYeah, I agree the swirls are definitely better on Vitaly’s cover. Not to say they are bad on this one, I think they’re great, especially if you zoom in. The overall picture though I think it meshes well. Would be cool if they could carry that over, but they redid the cover from scratch so I get it. Thank you for the feedback 🙏

Maybe it is also a bit of bias against AI images from me. I get a more AI vibe from the magic on this image then the one on Royal Road. And while the modern military outfit is more fitting for the story, it makes the image look more random for a person scrolling by. Modern military outfit, magic and medieval weapons.

In my mind, ROD has a bit of a more fantasy-esk feel, which the glitchy title font and the relatively ‘modern’ design don’t match… but that’s more about me, and also carries over a bit from HTG. Graphically I find it quite nice, with the central perspective, the portal, the arms and stuff. Though the longer I consider it, the more I notice that the cover could transport the uniqueness of your story better; after all there is more stories with a (military) guy going portals and swords and shit 😁 Maybe the cover for the second book can evolve this to include the fantasy/magical aspect more as well as the unique aspect of this take on “integration” (with the Nine and the Six etc). Especially with big brain mode going completely bonkers (which I still totally love 👌)
