Comments

I hope you guys watch The Punisher eventually, Shane aka Jon Bernthal is just insanely good

ImHigh Sorry

For someone that’s just staring on walking dead this year (I’m on season 6 now) I literally thought this was the best episode so far but BOYYY WAS I WRONG. It gets even more crazier & ALOT MORE BETTER. I teared up when Sophia came out the barn because I was so caught off guard like yall were. Shane given his attitude & dumbness😂 was sort of right in this scene in particular. Hershel did in fact open his eyes & also they would have still been looking for Sophia . I hated him in this scene too but damn if he wasn’t right about some stuff🤦🏽‍♂️. Rick being the one to have to put her down was heartbreaking since she was with him last. 🥺 Mannn look everybody said that after season 3 it’s not good anymore but I’m on season 6 & it’s NEVER BEEN BETTER❤️‍🔥. Great reaction guys.

I don't agree with Shane being built for this world. Sure he could keep Lori and Carl safe probably, but at the expense of anyone else. He's not worried about building the world back, he acts too quickly when it's unnecessary. Hershel would have came around, especially after he seen what happened to the walker they were wrangling. Killing everyone in the barn, right that second, was unnecessary and dangerous for the whole group. It should have been thought out. We see this type of Shane decision making behavior way later on (the one I'm thinking of wasn't made by Shane but it's this type of behavior) and we see how the consequences can be bad. I always hate seeing people be like, oh Shane was just living in season 15 when everyone else is way behind. Sorry lol that's how I feel about it.

So I was wrong about Sophia 🤦‍♀️ I’m choosing to believe she tried hiding in the barn and got turned then instead of being found in the woods cause it’s more tragic (also cause why wouldn’t Otis mention he saw a little girl walker the day before?). Hoping the Shane/Lori/Rick stuff can wrap up soon. I think I’d actually enjoy the Shane devolving stuff if it was purely about survival and fear instead of him being creepy and obsessed with his bestie’s wife. Also can we talk about how stupid Lori was this ep?? Rick was already getting Hershel there was literally no reason for her to go. Like she tried to risk Daryl’s life and then her own just to tell him to keep doing what he’s already doing? My prediction is that the writers just needed to create a situation for her to lose the baby cause that decision making was whack.

It's been so many years since I've seen this I forgot how much of a sweet summer child Rick was in the early seasons.

Chris

lol love it

Mr. October

Shane was right about everything :)

Don't feel bad for not knowing Sophia was in the barn, no one did back when it came out, and your reaction was like everyone else's. And if you think that was shocking and disturbing, you ain't seen nothing yet. Those two guys in the bar was the first indication that the walkers are only part of the problem, there is some very unsavory survivors out there too. One comment thought that men looking to 'get some' was not really part of the apocalypse, but frankly, that is exactly the kind of people that very well would be roaming around in a world where civilization is gone. Strap yourselves down for a bumpy ride ahead, GOT has nothing on this show when it comes to shaking up the audience. PS: Until recently you put some comments about the reaction in the posting, but you stopped doing that. I kind of miss it, hope you get back to it.

If I was Glen, I would have pulled Rick aside, and told him privately about the walkers in the barn and let him deal with it.

Chris

Oh, I really liked that too...he definitely proved his point. I would imagine that sometimes shock and awe is helpful in these scenarios. I think Rick is definitely capable of that too if absolutely necessary. Shane has actually had a few moments that I enjoyed and/or agreed with. I think at this point he's just too far gone. There's nothing anyone could do to integrate him in the group now. My sister is a lot like Shane...a hot head and a loose cannon. I always have to jerk her back from the edge. I think Rick keeps trying with Shane but he's just not willing to listen to Rick. He could be a valuable asset if he could get it together.

Great comment I agree with you on everything I just had to point out that I love that moment where Shane shot at Lou and she keeps coming forward and they ll scream "enough" and then he say "enough" and shoot her in the head I don't know why but that is my favorite Shane moment.

Josip Buretić

It might be an unpopular opinion, idk, but somebody either needs to put a bullet in Shane or he needs to roll out. I don't think Dale would've hid the guns if it wasn't for fear of Shane. He can also take Andrea with him. After he had Rick lined up in his sights, he can't be trusted. He's so obsessed with Lori he'd take Rick out for sure, when they least expect it. I agree the barn definitely needed to be emptied, but I think it could've been done differently. Hershel himself said he knew as soon as Shane shot Lou and she kept coming that they were dead. I think given the chance Rick could've reasoned with him to empty it. Personally, I'm not letting anyone I love walk around rotting like that for who knows how long. It was proven at the CDC that once they turn they're no longer themselves. I can understand how Hershel wouldn't know the full picture though, he's been safe on his farm, how could he? I think in a world like this, Rick is extremely valuable. He knows there's a right way and a wrong way to achieve a goal, but he'll drop bodies if he has to. He proved that in the bar. RIP Sophia. The core hope for the group died right along with her. So sad. Thanks for the reaction! Awesome as always! Love ya'll, stay safe and warm.❤️

I think one of the points the show is revealing to is is that no one person is completely right or completely wrong. Dale is right- Shane is built for this new world. But instead of embracing the idea that Shane has insight into how to survive, Dale and Co. try to suppress or get rid of him. Which causes a backlash, as we’ve seen. Instead of making Shane feel he needs to protect the group by integrating him tightly, they push him out. This reinforces his mindset that only Lori and Carl matter. And Shane thinks any sign of humanity is a sign of weakness. Which, can be a huge vulnerability in this world OR a way of strengthening more relationships. See- no side is completely wrong. Dale needs to understand and accept that Shane’s brutality is needed and Shane needs to accept that if he wants Lori and Carl to live then they need a community, not a one man survivalist. I mean- how does he not see the importance of keeping the only doctor alive? Geez. (Well, except for the skeazy asses at the bar looking, not to meet a woman, but to get some. That’s the kind of sleaze that has nothing to do with the apocalypse! Ugh.) At least, that’s my 2 pennies…

Becca

Yeah I agree...I think killing random Walkers you don't know is one thing but having the heart and the guts to shoot a child from the group...to let her go....takes a certain kind of person.

Jessica Houser

i woke up to a huge snow storm in south Louisiana, and then walking dead from the octobers. what a wild day.

Phil Tilly

Also Shane needs to go man seriously. He tells Lori that Rick isn't made for this world and that he can't do what needs to be done, then he goes off and shoots a bunch of walkers that he doesn't know but when Sophia pops out, Shane can't pull the trigger. Rick does. It shows you how Shane is all bark, no bite in my opinion.

Michael Mitchell

I'm sorry, that was the line for me! Dale going out in the woods to hide the guns from everyone is actually insane! He put everyone's lives in serious danger!...Lori's dumbass should have just let Shane leave when he wanted to, he wouldn't even know about the baby. And Shane was right Hershel was full delulu, he needed to see reason. He seriously needed a reality check. Maybe not the best way to go about it but the alternative would have been to let Hershel continue to fill the barn. How many is too many? Eventually it would have been too many for the group to handle. 🙄

YoursUNTRULY

Y'all are awesome, pushing out so much amazing content. I love the discussions y'all have about these episodes so far. Can't wait to watch this :)

Brady Renfro

Thank you mom and dad 💙

Koba

Memento next ? 🤞. It’s defo a film that needs your full focus so best to watch on a day that will get that. Don’t wanna rush you guys

Harvey

At work now, can't wait to watch this later! Another show I think you two would like is The 100, if you haven't seen it before, especially since you both said you like the apocalyptic setting.
