It really is a shame that homie doesn't like Dune but it is what it is. He seems too introspective to sleep on that series

Marcus Shoults

I've loved every Edgar Wright movie I've watched 🖤 I hope they do check out his films for sure!

Guillermo del Toro, who did "Blade 2" has an impressive body of work (which includes "Pan's Labyrinth") I think you'd enjoy.

Jim Schmitz

I was a "OuaT...in H" virgin myself. Glad to tag along with you guys for it. My takeaway was the absolutely impeccable recreation of that time period. So many famous locations, shows and actors depicted, and all true. The film clip that Sharon Tate watched of herself was the actual movie with the real Sharon Tate.

Jim Schmitz

You should do ‘Martin Scorsese’ movies next please!

Earl anjejo

Idk if they’d even appreciate his work all that much, I’ve never found any Americans to love the cornetto trilogy even half as much as they should

Goblet of Fire, in my opinion, is the transition from aiming for a kiddie audience into a darker set of movies. By the end of Order of the Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince, it's straight-up dark but so good in a different way. These movies, in my opinion, evolve more than any other movie series.

Phil Tilly

I know it's an obvious question but when can i get excited for "Goblet Of Fire" LOL?

Melanie Vine

Hey Tony, Bruce Lee pretty much invented MMA, I would hope you have Bruce on the list too, there is only 4 real movies.

Peter K

Edgar Wright one of my favs

Christian

Not seen anybody mention it yet but I think it would be ideal for you guys to do this again but with another director. Obviously my main suggestion would be Scorsese because he’s the best to ever do it. Spielberg has a lot more mainstream films but they’re also all great But both of them have a lot of films to get through so if you want a smaller challenge Wes Anderson could be great that’s only 11 films and 4 shorts Yorgos langthimos (6 films) would be a very interesting watch especially dogtooth being your first as I wouldn’t recommend alps or kinetta. You guys didn’t like Dune on initial watch but Denis Villenueve (9 films) Is an absolute genius who has made nothing but incredible films (one of which you’ve already watched being arrival) Or if you wanna go really short Charlie Kauffman has wrote (8) Directed (3) OUTSTANDING nihilistic surrealism films that will make you question reality forever Christopher Nolan you guys will be well aware of as you’ve already seen his Batman trilogy and interstellar so you’ve only got 7 to go. And David Fincher who’s a master at psychological Thrillers which Ik y’all love.

Harvey

"STOP, DROP, and SWIM." ROTFLMAO!!!!!

Robert Nelson

The Steve McQueen part was from the movie "The Great Escape." You should watch it. You'll appreciate that part a lot more. AND, it would be a great reaction.

Brushing up on the history of the Manson family is definitely beneficial going into this movie, particularly the more familiar you are with the Tate murders. I happen to be very familiar with Charles Manson, the Manson Family, and the subsequent murders, and have read as many books and watched as many documentaries as I could possibly manage over the years. And because of that, it makes every scene that involves Sharon (particularly the last 45 minutes of the film) that much more uncomfortably tense and ominous, because you know in your mind that it is building towards this horrific, unfathomable crescendo. I remember seeing it in the theater for the first time, and being so completely enamored with the story and relationship between Rick and Cliff, but simultaneously distracted by the intrusive thought that I also REALLY didn’t want to see the violence of the Tate murders represented on screen, especially with how endearing and innocent Tarantino conveys her character to the audience. So with taking that all into consideration, the exhale I could finally let out when Tarantino tells his version of the ultimate fate of the four family members was soooo refreshing, lol. And it only got better, funnier, and more satisfactory with each escalating act of slapstick violence. I went in knowing I was going to certainly enjoy the movie, but figured I would leave in a state of existential despair by also knowing the fate of the victims. Instead, I somehow left with a feeling of whimsical optimism. And hoped the families of the actual victims didn’t feel disrespected by the fiction Tarantino concocted for the final act of the film 🥺😌🥰.

They never let Manson out, he came up for parole, but was never granted it. He died in 2017, still in prison.

I love this one! Looooove. The dialogue. The music. All actors and actress. The ending. Tarantinos love letter to old Hollywood gets me every time ❤️

Daniel

This one has great moments but I’m still Team Kill Bill!

Jared M

A lot of people hated this movie when it came out because its a slow burn and doesn't really have a plot which I understand but the point of the movie is really just a love letter to classic hollywood and thats it. Its a simple day in the life of these random characters who are brilliantly acted and the point is for you to experience hollywood through their life. I love this movie simply because its easy to get lost in it. Think about how many scenes are just watching old cowboy scenes on an old TV that add nothing to the story but you just zone out into it lol, its just meant to be an experience more than a complex narrative like his other movies.

Christian

Oh yeahhh🔥. The ip man movies most of it are also based on true events.

Tayshawn Williams

I think knowing about the Manson murders made the end pretty great! but it was def a slow burn and you kinda could wonder... hmmmm.... when is it gonna make sense! but eventually it does!

Mr. October

Adding ip man to our list!!!

😂 whoever said Bruce Lee was 100% an actor is lying because usually when somebody’s fan base say something outrageous as “he can beat up anybody” the consumer usually don’t like the person 😭 even though it’s their fan base they shouldn’t like. You guys have to watch the Ip man movies. Also this never happened in real life😂 it was confirmed. Bruce Lee was a force. He was trained by ip man. He went on to teach people while also being an actor and writing books . Bruce was not a pussy😭 Anybody who wanted to fight him nobody how big or strong he would either come out on top or it would be a good fight. 💯

Tayshawn Williams

One of my favorite movies. I used to live in LA and drove a lot of the same roads on a daily basis so it's like seeing my home every time I watch it. Also the Bruce Lee scene wasn't his imagination, it was what happened before that cause Rick to tell him there is no point in trying to get him hired since it was going to be up to the best friend of Randy ( Kurt Russell) who worked on the Green Hornet. Which is why he said "fair enough".

Quinten Shibusawa

I enjoyed this film when it first came out and enjoyed watching your reactions. It's a very good fairy tale, which unwinds one of the darkest, most horrifying things ever to have happened in Los Angeles back then...but this time the good guys save the day and we get a happy ending. Sharon Tate gets to raise her child, her friends enjoy long lives and Hollywood's innocence is yet to be shattered....an if only alternate universe.

Kim

I hate that people told yall this movie is about Manson.

Norman Davis

Never seen this but I'll give it a fair shake.

Jesse Lee

Quentin changing history again, if only Brad Pitt was there before the Manson family murders that ACTUALLY happened. Haven't had a chance to watch it with you yet, just wanted to point out Quentin's penchant for re-writing history, much like Inglorious Basterds. I still think Pulp Fiction was his best. And another Kleenex alert for Mrs. O, since you are heading back into the Potter-verse next.

Peter K

This is one of the only films I’ve left the theater part way through and got a refund. It was my birthday and I was bored out of my mind but apparently I left right before it got exciting so I’m curious to finally finish it with y’all and see if my opinion changes.
