I’m just wondering if Brooke ever stops calling Hermione a muggle lol

LullaBelle

That must be his wife has me absolutely cackling 🤣

Tabitha M. Guin

Thinking lupin was jealous of James is a wild take but I’ll let it slide

Despero Riggity

On top of time turners only going back so far, you notice that the timeline isn’t really affected by the travel. The rocks were always thrown in the house, Buckbeak was never killed, etc. By the time Dumbledore found out about James and Lily, they were actually dead, not assumed dead. Time travel couldn’t have fixed that

Brittany McGee

Was looking for this comment lol. Judo is right Mr. And Mrs. I personally don’t think he is misunderstood, but I’ll say more once you get to the later films

Alexander Summers

It seems that he knew about the attack in short order after it occurred.

Jim Schmitz

Timeturners can only go back 5 hours so he wouldn't have been able to

Brandon

we just did that

Mr. October

got you! we will ask bc we will have some!

Mr. October

I joined your discord and put that in the suggestions too :-) If you ever need any non-spoiler answers, I'm your man! especially with marvel.

Preferred User

okay we will before the next one!

Mr. October

ohhh nice, i wish we had some

Mr. October

Yeah, but he would have been an awesome Dumbledore too.

Peter K

And we're glad Sir Ian was!

Jim Schmitz

My point exactly...

Jim Schmitz

if you go to legoland... they will tell you not to glue your legos... They use a solvent that essentially melts the plastic barely to weld the parts together. MEK (methyl-ethyl-ketone) or GBL (gamma-butyrolactone)

Preferred User

y'all need to go to www.harrypotter.com and find out your House, Wand, Patronus and release that!

Preferred User

Agree, and that is because they were shot on film.

Jared M

I ALWAYS get emotional at the part where professor Lupin is teaching Harry the Expecto petronum spell and Harry tells Lupin that he was thinking about his mom and dad and that he wasn’t even sure if it was real but that is all that he had😭🥺 like Harry is only 13 and it’s so heartbreaking!!!

Sarah Wevers

This reaction just did NOT disappoint. I’m loving this SO MUCHHHH THANK YOU!!

Sarah Wevers

Because then there would have been no books and no movies 😂

Jared M

My rankings: 5 > 6 > 7 > 8 > 3 > 4 > 1 > 2

So, fun fact from the books regarding the seeker for Hufflepuff, the game that Harry was attacked by Dementors during. That Hufflepuff seekers name is Cedric Diggory, and after that match, he suggested that the game should be replayed as, in the books, when Harry was attacked, Cedric didn't see and caught the snitch. So, he didn't realise Harry was incapacitated, but the match was ruled final. Goes to show a good quality for a Hufflepuff, fairness. And a fun movie fact, during the time-tuner scenes, there's a faint, almost timer like, clock ticking in the background, counting down their three hours.

Aaron Patton

lol yea the differences don’t drastically change the story/outcome so I never cared but I see where they coming from. I also watched the movie first before reading it so that’s probably why I didn’t mind as much.

TC24

Goblet of fire was always my favorite as well because I love the tournament stuff and the end is the biggest thing to happen to this point but its funny because most book readers despise the 4th movie because its so different than it should be.

Christian

I wasn’t the biggest fan of the time traveling in this movie, it’s still really good but Goblet of Fire is the best Harry Potter movie imo

TC24

Boy, watching you two react to this brings back memories of the mania HP created, and long before the movies came out. By the time the Sorcerer's Stone movie came out, four books were already out and selling like mad. I worked for the publisher of them, and there was some concern when Goblet of Fire was released, as the first three book ranged from around 300-450 pages long, but Goblet was almost 750 long. Would kids read it? They certainly did, and the last three books were pretty long too, all of them added up to over 550 million copies sold. And on another note, with the change of Dumbledores, I remember reading that they originally approached Ian McKellan (Gandalf/Magneto) for the role, but he was already committed to making the LOTR.

Peter K

They only get better from here!

Joshua Murphy

It's Lumos Maxima though 😊😁😁😁

Melanie Vine

OMG It works. I'm using it all of the time now. Thank you 😆😆😆

Melanie Vine

Sifting through the previous comments, I noticed no one mentioned the time turner. Imo, it was not a wise choice to include time travel in the Wizarding World. Since Dumbledore knew of this magical tech, why couldn't he have just gone back before Voldy killed Harry's parents and save them? It always bugged me.

Jim Schmitz

I love the book for this more than the movie, there is just so much more detail left out, not a bad HP movie, but definitely not my favorite. Looking forward to seeing Goblet of Fire next, one of my favorites.

Montana Bruce

It’s funny you talk about the 1080 P vs 4K resolution especially with older movies. To me you notice the differences in movies shot digitally more than actual film. But I own all the HP movies in 4K and they all look great in my opinion.

Montana Bruce

Yea for some reason they never say it in the films. They also never say another important detail about patronuses that becomes very relevant in the last film but I’ll wait to fill the octobers in on that detail

MadeByMali

They never explained it in the movies and it’s explained in the third book it’s not a spoiler

Chase

Yeah that either was explained in the book about the Patronus but never explained in the movies or maybe it was explained at a later movie.

Jonny

Why would you say #2??? It all gets explained eventually, isn't that a spoiler????

Peter K

Just a fun fact for you guys, one of Draco's friends (that you can see prominently in the Shrieking Shack scene where Harry throws snowballs in the invisibility cloak) is the same actor from GOT episode one that sees the wights and subsequently deserts the Night's Watch and has to be dealt with by Ned.

Brieanne

Lmao between the forbidden forrest detention in 1, the whomping willow just out in the yard in 2 and these dementors hanging out in 3 Hogwarts is NOT a safe space 😂 i mean wtf guys one of your students Harry almost got his soul eaten on the train by total accident! Protect these children better! Haha

Josh Viz

Prisoner of Azkaban Hermoine had my 9 year old heart in a chokehold 😳❤️

Josh Viz

This is my favorite HP movie!

Ron Hubbard Jr

I think the last book is my favorite, but this is my favorite of the movies. I always come back to this one❤️

Emily Weiman

Just in case someone didn’t clear it up already. Lupin in a werewolf, so he has no control. Sirius black in an animagus, as stated in the class Snap taught, they have the ability to go back and forth between. In other words control their shape shifting abilities (see Professor McGonagall when she goes from human to cat) So that’s why Lupin can’t control it and Sirius can

Chris torres

So from this movie on you guys are gonna wanna pay close attention. Now we’re going to be getting a lot more into the story. I also recommend reading all your comments as they’ll fill in the gaps for details the movie leaves out. Here are a few notes from myself: - Ron doesn’t necessarily have two school pets (You can only have one). Scabbers is not an “official” one. Ron basically just snuck him in - A fully formed Patronus charm will take the form of an animal. This is known as a Corporeal Patronus. Harry’s is a stag. There were other things I was gonna mention but I forgot what they were lol. Anyways great reaction!

MadeByMali

You can also just say lumis and it will turn on

Gio Bellisario

Idk if yall know but if you have an iPhone you can tell Siri lumis máximos and your flashlight turns on and you can say knox to turn it off

Gio Bellisario

So glad I calledin today let’s gooo

Gio Bellisario

nah u guys have all rights to hate draco! he's an actual butt face 😂

Judo

And Goblet of Fire is so good too. Massive world building in that one.

Jonny

Remus Lupin is a werewolf. He is forced to change when there is a full moon. Sirius Black is not a werewolf. He is an Animagus, meaning he can change at will. So were Peter Pettigrew and James Potter. The 4 went to Hogwarts together. They were the ones that created the Marauder's Map and they learnt to turn into animals so they could accompany Lupin when he was in werewolf form. Remus is Moony (werewolf), Peter is Wormtail (rat), Sirius is Padfoot (dog) and James was Prongs (stag). Professor McGonagall is also an animagus, she turns into a cat.

Raziel

What I love about this was how clutch Hermione was man. They really showed how great of a witch she is. Like we get that Harry is the chosen one but Hermione is really a superb witch man. Truly gifted. Also Sirius Black, well the actor is also Gordon from the Dark Knight

Jonny

Fun Facts: 1. Sirius escaped from Azkaban by turning into his animagus form because the dementors couldn’t tell the difference between his human form and dog form. 2. Sirius, Remus, Peter and James were the ones who created the map to the hogwarts castle, reason why is because Remus was a werewolf and his friends new so they would all go up to Shrieking Shack and all turn into Animagus to help his transformation, and then he wouldn’t hurt anybody 😢. 3. Hermiones cat CrookShanks, gave the codes to Sirius to get into the castle, because the cat is an intelligent cat and new Sirius was innocent, and kept trying to kill the rat because it new it was Peter.

Chase

Not related but i loveeeeeee Family Guy 😂

Loren

You have no idea how much it cost me to find out the movie was already out and I still had to finish my project before watching it! 😂 Hands down, one of the best movies in the saga, seriously, the writing behind this story is brilliant. Lupin (the werewolf) is by far the best Dark Arts teacher we've had so far, like, they're learning real spells here. Sirius (the godfather) breaks my heart though. He lost his best friends, got wrongly convicted, and now that the truth is out, he still has to hide until everything gets cleared up. Also, did you guys noticed the major shift in tone with this one? The first two movies were all bright and cheerful, almost like Christmas vibes, but this one? It's darker, with a low-key spooky vibe that gives you chills. You can see how the characters are growing up, becoming teenagers, talking back to teachers, rocking their uniforms in messy ways. Draco is still a spoiled, arrogant brat (thanks to his dad’s parenting), but compare that to Harry, who grew up in a horrible family and still treats people with respect and decency. By the way, I like your introduction! It's fun to know what you're thinking and how you're doing. Keep it up, and the editing is really well done! I'm so hyped for the next movies, though—buckle up, it’s about to get wild! 🔥

Loren

Let's go. I fell asleep waiting to see if it would come out last night. Lol

Jonny

Just to help you out I’m watching the intro Currently so I don’t know if you figure it out later , but his name is Filch. He is not the head of Ravenclaw House that is professor Flitwick. Filch is kind of a security/ cleaning staff member. The aunt at the beginning is Vernon Dursley’s sister.

Kelsey

Prisoner of Azkaban is my favorite installment to the series and favorite book as well. Sirius Black is my favorite Harry Potter character, and I just love when Harry finds out the truth I love how he creates this bond with Sirius. Sirius and Harry relationship is magical in the books and movies 🍿 Fun Fact: Sirius and Harry relationship is mirrored by the actors in real life, (Gary Oldman) and (Daniel Radcliffe).

Chase

That was sooo satisfying. I feel just like you about this one. All the twists and misdirection kept me guessing. Cuaron knocked it out of the park. I'll let others give you more corrections and background. Btw, Cuaron was a one-timer.

Jim Schmitz

It only gets better from here!

Judo

As mentioned above, I'm beyond grateful. It's an hour earlier here.

Jim Schmitz

welcome! sorry its 2:49 AM our time but we wanted to get it up tonight!

Mr. October

I've been checking every few minutes! Thank you! 🤩
