I would recommend the Underworld movies at some point as well, it’s a must watch and I am sure you will enjoy it 🙏

2024-10-17 00:05:27 +0000 UTCI used to work for the publisher of the Harry Potter books, and I read them before the movies arrived. If you gave up after the first two it was probably because the early books were geared toward younger kids, but as the characters evolved and grew, so did the story into a darker tone. The movies are more faithful to the books than usual, and I would suggest giving them another shot with the O's. You might be surprised.

Back to the Future I, II, and III. Pirates of the Caribbean series Godfather I, II and III Ocean's Eleven, Ocean's Twelve, and Ocean's Thirteen Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, and Before Midnight James Bond series - just the Daniel Craig movies.

2024-10-14 22:24:54 +0000 UTCHarry Potter is leading in the poll but the Planet of the Apes movie series (beginning w Rise of the Planet of the Apes 2011) is so underrated and deserves more accolades along with your viewing. I think beyond the amazing action, you both would really appreciate its undercurrent of timeless philosophical questions like, do the ends justify the means, along with other questions touching on morality. I saw other commenters and Hunger Games is another series that's so timeless - I was an avid reader of the books and it was the one time the movies did not disappoint and were just as good as the books.

2024-10-14 21:38:06 +0000 UTCWhen you get around to Superman, I would suggest the original 2 Richard Donner movies from the late 70's as the starting point. They were the beginning of the superhero era of movies, and they had no CGI, but they managed to make Supes believable.

There’s the original 5 that are very decisive (the 1st and 3rd are great) there’s then 5 of Roddy McDowells (produced) Ron Harper films which most forget and don’t like all that much. Then there’s Tim Burtons lone film which is hilariously bad. And then there’s the new 4 which are majority liked by everyone
