2024-07-30 14:21:52 +0000 UTCThe Red Sowing. Targaryen bastards are called Dragon Seeds. In the old days when you would plant seeds it was called sowing the fields. Also used in you reap what you sow. You harvest what you planted and nurtured. So Rhaenyra was planting the dragon seeds to see which ones would grow and claim a dragon. The red is for how many died. As fas as Jon Snow being a bastard and being able to ride or claim a dragon. Jon was never a bastard. His parents were married and as you know his real name is Aegon Targaryen VI. But here we can see that bastards are able to claim dragons. The show has pushed the idea multiple times the only reason the Targaryen’s are rulers is because of the dragons. Would Aegon have conquered Westeros without the dragons? In 1x1 Rhaenyra says without the dragons we would be like everyone else. What would Daenerys have been without the dragons? Would she have died in the garden of bones since Quarth only opened their gates to the mother of dragons. We know when GOT starts there are no more dragons yet the Targaryens have only been deposed for 17 years. Jace is upset because the highborn that we’re going to ride dragons were not bastards like him and the families had sworn fealty to Rhaenyra already. Their blood had been thinned by marriage. By putting bastards on dragons they now have the same claim to the throne as he does. They have a dragon and they are only 1/4-1/2 Targaryen. Rhaenyras mother was an Arryn. Jace is only 1/4 Targaryen. One reason why the Targaryen’s intermarried was to make sure the ruler was 100% Targaryen. King Jaeherys I and his wife Alysanne were brother and sister and so was Viserys and Daemons parents. Out of all the children alive now the ones with the purest blood are Daemons sons Aegon and Viserys. The Velaryons do exist during the time of GOT. The author said he didn’t include them in the tv show because there were already too many families. In the books they fight on Stannis side during the Battle of the Blackwater, Tyrion fights some of them at the mudgate. Jon sees the Seahorse banner when Stannis raids Mance Raders camp. Cersei takes Aurane Waters captive. A bastard of House Velaryon Dragons Aemond- Vhaghar Aegon- Sunfyre??? Halena- Dreamfyre Daeron-Tessarion Rhaenyra-Syrax Daemon-Caraxes Jace-Vermax Baela-Moondancer Aegon-Stormcloud Addam-Seasmoke Hugh-Vermithor Ulf-Silverwing Rhaena-? TBD When Alicent is floating in the lake the first time she sees a bird but she sees something else the second time. Alicent is having to come to terms with the fact that a war was started to keep a woman off the throne and when there was a space for her to become the regent she was pushed out because she was a woman. She is also processing what Rhaenyra told her. That she made a mistake thinking Viserys wanted Aegon to be king but really he was telling an old story about the Conqueror. Alicent started all of this because of what he said to her that night and she is feeling guilty. Although we know Otto was going to do it anyway. Hugh’s mother is Seara Targaryen she is one of King Jaeherys I daughters. If you remember in 1x3 Lionel Strong was talking about how the old kings daughters stressed the King. This one was so rebellious she ran off to Lys and worked in a pleasure house to spite her father. Vermithor is King Jaeherys I dragon so Hugh claiming him adds more depth to the story. Ulfs dragon Silverwing was Queen Alysannes dragon. Alysanne was King Jaeherys wife and mother to Saera and Baelon. Baelon being father to Viserys, Daemon and Ulf. George RR Martin thought it was funny to name the Tully’s after Seasame Street characters. There is a Grover, Oscar, Kermit and Elmo. You have to look at what areas the show has focused on this season to see where the war will be fought. Daemon took Harrenhall for a reason. It’s location to the river lands, crown lands, kings landing, and Dragonstone is central. Kings Landing will always be important to determine who is physically on the throne. Dragonstone and Driftmark are neighboring islands and the seat of power for The Targaryens and Velaryons. And we know Cretan Stark has pledged 2000 men. Jace secured their crossing at the Twins which allows them into the river lands. Addam of Hull. Hull is a place on Driftmark Talking about why is Oscar so young. It is similar to Lyanna Mormont calling out Jon Snow and Sansa when they first came to Bear Island. She is loyal to the Starks but doesn’t respect Sansa because she married a Bolton and a Lannister. They need her so that first meeting they put up with the disrespect. It was a parallel to GOT Ghost having white hair was early foreshadowing of Jon’s Targaryen family. When you guys rewatch it you will notice all the Easter eggs. I loved your reaction! I’m going to miss these GOT universe reactions. There is a new show coming out in January 2025. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. It’s about Aegon V (Maester Aemon at the nights watch brother) when Aegon was young. It takes place 90 years before GOT. They will use this to catch the story up a little more to what we see in GOT. It’s already filming right now. They are going to release that and HOTD on opposite years. This one 2025 and new HOTD 2026.

Following in the footsteps of Joffrey of going from a Batman movie as a kid to the world of GoT lol. I feel like he played innocent the 1st time Daemon called on him in Ep.4 cause he wasn’t letting Daemon punk him this episode.
