Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 1 & 2

Comments

I’m here for the final three seasons - I scoff at those who put them down, I think they are the BEST. Super excited for your reactions, getting to watch others’ GoT journeys makes it feel like it never ends 😎

Amanda Sargent

Ok I gave in. You got a new sub lol

Kristy McDowell

More GOT please :) Season 6 is amazing!

Nymeria Stark

Season 8 is the best hands down there's a reason it is the most watched season and broke all types of records

Milf and Cookies

“We all die today”. Edd really about that life. #1 homie

Brandon Martinez

I think season 4 is the greatest in tv. I love season 6 so much though. I mean soooooo much.

Brandon Martinez

I don’t think they’re *that* bad, honestly makes it easier to remember each character by a voice than just the name alone. And I commend the reader for trying and not just reading in a monotone voice, but let us know what you think either way 😂

Hailey ✨

Oh no! I havent started the audio books I added to my library yet! I hope I don't have the same reaction to the voices 😅

ShittyShittyGameGang

Thank god there are people that agree, I'm tired of hiding for fear of being hated on! Lol. There's just so much hate in the comments of anything Game of Thrones.

ShittyShittyGameGang

Well then you didn't read what I wrote. I said season 7 and 8 aren't that bad and had impressive moments, and the ending is logical and rational for the series, but the complainers didn't like it because the execution didn't live up to the rest of the series, which is true. But on the bright side, GRRM will very likely do a much better job with it if he doesn't drop dead first. Also another issue people have, and I do agree with this part, is that the narrative went from plot driven to flipping to character-driven once they got beyond the books. Seasons from the book were plot driven - the characters were victims of circumstance and had little control over the events as they were playing out - seasons beyond the book were then written by Hollywood in the "character driven" style, where the characters run the plot, and things like plot armor and Deus ex Machina are used, (for example last-minute saves) because that is how Hollywood operates. Lastly, let's not ignore that the last 3-4 episodes were rushed in a shortened season.

Chris

“Don’t they have police there or something” 🤣🤣🤦🏻‍♂️ wth lol she says some goofy things sometimes

Chaz D

She said “It’s not like they have cameras” lmao 🤦🏻‍♂️ that wouldn’t of mattered. Ramsey 100% still would of taken her death out on Theon and Sansa

Chaz D

Season 6 is the last 10 episode season. Season 7 has 7 episodes and Season 8 has only 6. It goes fast!

Mama Browsss

Season 6 is my favorite season, with season 4 being a close second. The rest are kind of close, except 7 & 8. Even though 7 & 8 are last for most people, they still have some kick ass episodes and crazy moments that I know you guys are going to love.

Mama Browsss

LMAOOOO you’re not wrong 😂

Hailey ✨

I still can’t watch Sir and Ma’am

Earl anjejo

LOL I laughed so hard at your Tyrion voice comment 🤣 We must’ve listened to the same version because I completely agree. I could not get invested at all once I heard it. I do love the actual books though.

I just don't like all the negativity about the end of the show, too many negative waves these days in general. If I don't like something, then I usually avoid it altogether. I don't see the value in trying to influence the opinions of others before they have a chance to form their own. They are obviously hearing all this from those not satisfied with the end of the show, and I just hope they form their own opinions, which I think they will. I don't know if it is me being serious, it is really about the way people are trying to impose their beliefs on others, and I would just prefer to see them not have to deal with that.

Peter K

To answer your question about what GoT-seasons are the best, I would say it depends on individual taste (of course). However, in terms of sheer quality, especially in regards to the writing, the first 4 seasons of GoT are generally regarded as some of the best television in history - of any show. They are just simply that good! Season 5-6 is where you start to see small issues arise. All concerning the writing. Mainly due to the fact that the Show, at this point, has largely caught up with the books, and the showrunners of GoT are much better at adapting, than actual writing original stuff. Two very different diciplines. Season 5 and 6 are still very entertaining though. I think they get some heat and criticism sometimes, but mostly because season 1-4 set standards so high, that it was nearly impossible to reach - Especially with no book material to adapt. Compared to any other TV-show, season 5 and 6 are still top notch television, with some really high calibre entertainment, and banger episodes (Like fx Hardhome, which you have already seen). Season 7 and 8 is where the smaller issues people had with seasons 5-6 gets magnified and really starts to become problematic. I don't really want to spoil your experience of it. As I remember, I still quite enjoyed season 7 the first time I watched it. So maybe you might as well ;) Here are the top GoT-season list (my opinion) 1) Season 4 2) Season 3 3) Season 1 4) Season 2 5) Season 6 6) Season 5 7) Season 7 8) Season 8

McC

Wow, you take this so seriously, you have such passion! Wunderbar! lol

Chris

'Out of nowhere?' Brienne was there all along waiting for a chance to save Sansa, so how exactly is that out of nowhere? But you are one of many who watch it while comparing it to the books, and more specifically, how would GRRM do it? Which is why I think it taints your impression of the show. I am a big fan of Dune, the book, and the recent release of the second Dune movie changed some key plot elements. But like almost every book adapted for film, changes are necessary to make it a film. I accept it as two different stories, and I can appreciate each for what it brings to the table.

Peter K

Absolutely agree, in the end, the way it went was logical. I would not be surprised when and if RR releases his end to the story, it lands in the same place. Obviously he has other plot lines to play out, but the final result could very well be the same. I can see that RR would end it that way, and I will explain why when we get there. SSGG, there are plenty of us that feel the way you do, we just aren't as loud as the haters.

Peter K

So I guess you will be here in 7&8 to let them know what you don't like? If you really hate 7&8, then you probably shouldn't bother watching what you 'hate.' But I suspect you will be here to point out the flaws you perceive in it. I am hear to see how they react, not to try and influence their opinion about it. Sadly, they have already been inundated by the 'hate the end' crowd, and to the O's I say, just watch and decide for yourselves. It is my experience, in the internet age, that those who don't like something are far more vocal than those who actually enjoyed it.

Peter K

I was about to take a nap but then I saw new episodes. No napping when new GOT is out.

John H

Season 7 isn't that bad, season 8 has some impressive moments. The problem is the last few episodes do not live up to the series. The ending makes sense, it was just executed terribly, and will probably be handled way, way better in the books. I think one of the main problems with the last couple seasons is a lot of plot armor and Deus ex machina, and that's because the books haven't been finished to dictate the actual plot. Breienne coming out of nowhere to save Sansa is a good example of something GRRM would never do in the books.

Chris

I think Hodor is a Groot.

Chris

Season 3 is my overall favorite, however, my favorite episode in the entire series is in season 6 😊

Emily P

Ok, thank you for the info

Chaz D

there’s an ongoing issue with Vimeo loading inside of the Patreon app. You have to open Patreon in a mobile browser like Chrome or Safari and then it works fine.

Oh damn, well maybe it’s not just from my end then. Not sure why it’s happening

Chaz D

Me too🥺

Season favorites: 4,5,6,3,2,1,7,8

Daniel

I have only watched the TV show and I hate season 7 and 8 😂 The dialogue is for some reason awful in many scenes and yeah... I will say nothing because we are only in season 6.

Daniel

I’m sure it’s something on my end but every time I click on the video my screen just goes black

Chaz D

Couldn't have said it better...

Jim Schmitz

Very excited for season 6! What as start

Kale

Episode 9 and 10 make this show one of the greatest things to ever happen to tv production history.

Juan Carlos Pina

sent me! LOL they both always have me rollin

Annie Bonz

I just want to adopt y'all. I'll cook and clean and y'all just watch stuff. I mean I guess you could have a tennis day or whatever but yeah. Loving y'alls reactions, NEVER CHANGE. I love how real y'all are. I don't care if you eat, sneeze, cough whatever y'all are authentic and I know I'm not the only one who appreciates that. There are so many fake reactors just trying to follow a trendy script and get followers. Awesome sauce to find you two! So if you need an extra auntie or mama I'm here. Love y'all!

Annie Bonz

I was so excited for yall to see Jon resurrected! Fantastic. And you know what, I'm gonna say it, I love this show- beginning to end! After years of rewatches and viewing other people's reactions I've come to accept the one thing in the very end of the series that I didn't like the first time seeing it. Like I feel like the more I rewatch it, the more I feel like what happens makes sense. That's probably an unpopular opinion but I just want yall to go into this without worrying about "is this what I'm supposed to hate".

ShittyShittyGameGang

i will never forget the battle where he dropped everything to fight. lol but that’s it

Mr. October

I don't like Ser Alliser, because we're meant to dislike him - but to his credit, that man is a ride or die for The Night's Watch. He never fails it. He stands strong in his convictions and makes the decisions that he feels would strategically benefit the Watch. He faces discomfort no matter what and he doesn't mind being the bad guy if it means the Watch will be as strong as possible. I respect that.

Crissi

we got you covered!

Mr. October

Damn Vimeo still doing me dirty 😩. I can’t seem to get the video to play

Antonio Serrano

I am not with the crowd that thinks the show went downhill after this season. In fact, the best episode of the entire series is in the final season, a culmination of a dozen story lines coming to a head. I really think the discontent with the last couple of seasons had to do with the direction it went, not the way a lot of people wanted/expected. But that is GOT, and I will say again, it is an adaptation , it is not the books. If you watch it in comparison to them, I think you lose a little of what these guys actually accomplished. They streamlined RR's extremely complex story line, yet they kept the core elements intact, and that still had more subplots than most stories. No one yet knows how far they deviated from what RR intended, since he has yet to release his end to the story. We also don't know what all the elements RR gave them were, I heard he did tell him his plan for Shireen, even though it was not in the books. I strongly suspect he gave them a solid outline for the last seasons, and if you look at it, they really did a good job weaving everything into a conclusion. Personally, having seen how the O's are reacting so far, I think they will enjoy it all.

Peter K

I struggle so hard with the audiobook version getting all the names like really wrong and doing the most offensive Tyrion voice ever lol.

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

Season 6 is one of the best seasons by quite a bit for me. Season 7 is also good, its season 8 which takes a nose dive unfortunatley =/ love your vids and love watching this back through with you guys!!! <3

Dan Tydeman

Don’t be sad about GOT being over guys! I promise to supply you with lots of GOT lore videos 😂 and we have House of the Dragon! I for one would be satisfied watching you guys watch Lore/in depth videos about GOT, not just the show itself. There’s so much extra to dive into besides just the show, I wouldn’t be surprised if there are others on here like me. GOT fans are always hungry for more. Plus I think it would help you stand out from other reactors and it would be a reason to keep your GOT audience for longer or give you content before House of the Dragon season 2 is released. Also random though - have you guys thought about doing a book reaction? If you started a podcast, I’d totally listen along to audiobooks or something like that. Just something to think about since the GOT books have so much more info/scenes that aren’t even in the show.

Hailey ✨

Season favorites are 6, 4, 1, 2, 7, tie with 3 and 5, and 8. But all of them from fav to least fav are worth rewatching and have memorable lines or moments.

Nymeria Stark

S6 is my fav for sure as the show goes. I'd rank 1,2,6,4,3,5,7,8 It's not really at the point yet where most are in agreement that it's sorely lacking, but book readers will always have gripes from day 1 because the source material was very very much changed throughout (which is fine either way), especially from now on. If you like it, you like it. "The show is the show and the books are the books." --GRRM I personally only have show gripes about how the dialogue isn't really part of moving the story along as much as it is a vehicle for moving the plot. It's more "plot heavy" on the backend, but great moments. Dialogue just doesn't captivate me as much as before, which is just .... what it is idk. Does not at all mean people can't like something or find something to like. As I said, if you do, you do, do you. The whole journey is wild and worth it either way imo.

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

“She gave birth to a vape shot.” 🤣😂🤣🤣💀

HereIAM

Season 6 is definitely my favorite. Wish I could erase it from my mind and experience it fresh again

Melani Hadzic

Season 6 is my favorite season. I know alot of people would disagree because it isn't true to the books since it ended at Season 5. Looking at the show without factoring the books in, Season 6 has so many epic moments I have to go with it as the best. (I agree 4 and 5 are up there too) Jon's resurrection was ruined for me before I saw it but I'm glad I got to see you experience it as a surprise. He'll always be my favorite character. Arya, Tyrion, and Dany are on my list as the top characters for me too. Everything is going to go crazy this season. When I watched it the first time I remember thinking that everything I thought I knew wasn't what it was. I think you're gonna love every episode. Alot happens and I can't wait to see it with ya'll. Im excited to end this (though it's so sad) and get into HOTD too! Thanks for the reaction.

Jessica Houser

Season 4 of GOT was epic but Season 6 is a absolute Masterpiece!

Nathaniel Benjamin

Yippeee

Nymeria Stark

Omg so hyped. Was looking forward to this drop! You guys rock :D oh and my fav season is 6 for sure.

Reaction Junkie

Consider yourselves lucky, all that angst about Jon evaporated at the end of ep 2. So glad you did two together, otherwise you'd still be mourning. We dealt with it for a whole year, but the discussions turned on this possibility because Melisandre was at Castle Black, and the fact that Beric was also a follower of the Lord of Light, and was resurrected several times by Thoros praying to the LOL. So we started to see the clues, but that took time, you just had to mourn for a week.

Peter K

Nothing to apologize about! Thank you both for all that you do!

Emi

Let's go!!!!

I❤️movies&tvshows

Hey guys can you sort out the link. Not working for me

Deepan Nathan

Season 4 is my favorite but 6 is a close 2nd. The purist dont like 6 as much because of book differences and stuff like that but for the general audience its a total banger. Season 7 is still good imo but you can see where they start cutting corners more obviously and then Season 8, well .... youll see

Christian

Season 6 has the highest highs, but overall season 2 & 4 are the best seasons imo.

TC24

Yup same here

Deepan Nathan

The link isn’t working on my end. 😞 Anyone else having trouble ?
