BUT we got to meet Lokita! So that was a cool part, how she's a Loki in her world....

The TVA are fascists, I love this show, but with the introduction of the TVA we have to question how we see villains like Loki. If the TVA have a set path for everyone to follow, and someone like Loki veers from that path, lets say he decided not to obey Thanos and attack New York in 2012 then the TVA come and reset the timeline back to where they want it, and take the now duplicated (variant) Loki to trial, find him guilty and prune him. So basically no one has free will, if the TVA decides someone should be a villain but that person zags and decides to do something good, they are guilty of breaking these fascists rules that no one even knows about! I side with Loki, the Avengers are the ones who played with time, intentionally trying to change things, while Loki just did what anyone would do when presented with an opportunity to escape.

2024-04-11 15:07:03 +0000 UTCOne of my favorite things about this sci-fi crime thriller show overall is that Tom Hiddleston himself is an executive producer. He’s exploring this character with the rest of us, and that in itself is a glorious purpose. Going into this back in June 2021, my biggest concern with this show was the initial character development. What I mean is that Loki had solidified himself as both a hero and an Avenger when he attempted to kill Thanos himself at the beginning of Infinity War. All that development was up and gone when Thanos killed him, but this alternate incarnation of Loki was able to see how his life was supposed to play out. Just so we don’t confuse him with the original Loki we got to know in the main dimension, we can call this version of him Analyst Loki.

I have seen this series several times and still don't know if she is really the Enchantress or just a Loki variant. Maybe a mashup? This is the true beginning of the Multiverse Saga and yes, you will meet the big bad (kinda) in this. A variant at least. I'll explain when you get there. It's a big deal. Of the 9 Disney + series in Phase 4, I put this in my top 4. A lot of people put it number 1 but I personally don't think it comes close to WandaVision. To each their own, though. (it IS better than Falcon and the Winter Soldier, though)
