Let's see here... I think we need to finish this one to understand all the moving parts!
Either way what a fun way to see Bucky and Sam! Can't have enough of this duo!
Let's watch some more and figure this out :)
The MCU keeps adding little things from the mutant / X-Men world in each of these series.

Fun fact: in the second episode they mention something about medicine or vaccines, they were gunna have a story line where there was a spreading virus but since this came out during the pandemic it was to lo sensitive to some viewers so they changed it and got ride of that story line

Steve Roger's used a gun during the WW2 era. Yes, they kind of moved away from that, but let's not get confused with DC's sometimes righteous attempts at making Batman and Superman not use guns.

Fair enough, Sir. But it’s their bar. We all get to put our coins in the jukebox. Can’t expect everyone to enjoy the same song though… ☺️

It’s definitely not a stupid decision that he gave it away maybe you need to listen to the reason right before he gave it away. His speech. That’s completely reasonable. It’s not just about the shield it’s the burden & shoes he feel he has to fill. Completely understandable. Plus the shield is government property. So he can’t just have it sitting there in his basement. It’s a weapon. Especially if he’s not using it. Definitely not a stupid decision I think your reading it all wrong.

I wasn't harsh ma'am when he mentioned he didn't understand why Sam gave up the shield I could see why he felt that way but then he kept talking about it in a dismissive tone like it's no big deal...pick up your big boy pants and shake it off attitude, which is what I didn't care for. Secondly I enjoy their channel but I can express something if I feel a certain way about how a person/people critique how they see a character is behaving.

Hey now…I would say that’s a bit harsh considering where they currently are in the series when making that assumption. Sam hasn’t overtly stated where his reservations stem from. He only suggested Bucky and Steve may not understand. Mr. October even said while he doesn’t currently get the decision, he hopes they explain it later in the series. And not for nothing, Mrs. October doesn’t exactly look like she has pure, Arian blood flowing through her veins either…👀. Just sayin’…
Maybe give them a chance to watch the story unfold, at least, huh my guy…? 😕🤷🏼♀️

I think this show was really damaged by all the stuff they cut out because of Covid. There's an entire plotline cut out and you can feel it.

Prime example of a person being super judgemental because they are not in the shoes of another person who dont look like them. Everything isn't black and white my guy. I like your reactions but saying someone giving the shield away was basically dumb is a little over the top.

Sucks the main plot to this was dropped. (Someone already explained in great detail why). I personally think they should have kept it in but they needed everyone "asleep" during 2020. And they decided to go "Woke" instead 😅😒

And in regards to the subplot of Sam being reluctant to accept (and ultimately deciding to relinquish) the shield…and no spoilers for what’s still to come…you have to view it from the context of when the show was being conceived, filmed, and eventually, when it was released…
As someone already mentioned, COVID caused an abrupt halt in principal
photography, and a huge subplot of the show was decidedly abandoned because of its ironically close similarities to the pandemic response. That is significant for a couple of reasons; First, not only did it leave a large gap in the story that needed to be filled by abandoning one of the main through lines of the over-arching plot. But also, because the George Floyd protests and BLM movement occurred during the production hiatus. So, it is likely they decided to embrace what was happening in current events by addressing how the world might react to an “underprivileged” black man from Generation X/Millennials inheriting the mantle of Captain America essentially from an “elite” white man representing the Boomer/“Greatest Generation”, and all the weight and implications that come attached to that idea.
Again, without any spoilers, this does indeed get further explored in the second half of the series, and it’s honestly subjective whether or not that works in its favor or if it doesn’t. But it certainly was one of the more reactionary topics of discussion when it came to audience and critical reception to the show at the time of its initial release.
(Also, that purple mask Zemo grabs from the limo is from the character’s iconic look as “Baron Zemo” from the comics 😉)

Might I suggest you move the screen with your faces to the upper left corner instead of bottom left? This way you don't block the captions and it also seems like more is going on toward the bottom of screen than the top.

Secondly, Carter is off the grid. As they said Madripoor is an isolated country with no extradition. She can do whatever she wants there because there is no law per se. The person who is in charge of Madripoor is the Power Broker. The Power Broker is the person who had the scientists make the super soldier serum which Karli stole and enhanced herself.

Guys just to explain a few things because you seem to be lost at points. So just a recap.
1) When everyone went away during the blip. The world changed. Laws changed to facilitate those who remained. So when all those people returned, laws were again changed to accommodate those returning. So basically let's say the house you live in now became yours because someone blipped. When the blipped returns the GRC basically displaced you out the house and returned the person that was there before you. So it's a mess.

I agree 100%!! They couldn't have asked for a better show to kick off phase 4 and the multiverse saga! And I like that this show follows it up, because it really shows how much marvel starts to mix it up with genres, themes, etc with their projects since phase 4

Yeah, and this was supposed to premiere first before WandaVision, but that I actually feel was a happy accident, because WandaVision’s whole over-arching television theme was an appropriate jumping off point for transitioning the MCU from theatrical film to streaming series. At least my opinion anyway ☺️

Black Widow is next, then Loki. They don't conflict with each other because Natashia's dead, but it does set up the Hawkeye series at the end. Loki is a totally different animal and really sets the tone for the Multiverse Saga.

So you are saying that John Walker is more like an agent?? Maybe a U.S. Agent?.........I'm not spoiling anything, guys. This series could have been a great buddy cop series, but it went in another direction. It's not BAD, but it's lower tier by Marvel standards if you know what I mean. It's probably one of the most realistic settings that Marvel has done, but it's also a bit slow moving too. As for the "big bad" Thanos like threat? You have to wait for Loki and even then you really don't meet......I'll shut up now.

This show is probably the project that suffered the most from covid. Not just production, but the plot originally revolved around a global pandemic and vaccines, so they had to change it up. I think that's why the pacing is a little off.
I still really love this one though!! Seeing the human problems that Sam and Bucky deal with in the middle of the super soldier stuff is great, and Isaiah's story always gets me.
As far as having a big overarching villain.. remember that we only had Thanos teased a few times in phases 1-2. You'll start seeing something similar starting with the Loki series!! 😀

As someone who is very much a fan who prefers the infinity saga (movies up until endgame) i would advise u guys to hold out for the next big bads of the mcu because thanos did take like 10 or so movies to show up in guardians of the galaxy. Until then it was the terrorists in iron man and the hydra agents in captain america etc etc. I guess mcu is just doing some groundwork right now

This is honestly a great series. One of the last GREAT MCU projects imo. It's interesting you think WandaVision was easier to understand than this one cause I thought the opposite on my first watches. Just goes to show how different people process and store information in different ways. Also, Walker or as I like to call him, Wish Captain America comes off as a self important tool in the first 3 Eps. I think a big reason Bucky and Sam have serious reservations about Walker is that all he is is a Government Dog and while Steve was in the Givernment at a point, he saw how corrupt and self-serving they can be and got out. Since Buck and Sam admired and respected Steve so much, it makes sense that they would mirror the sentiment and mistrust Walker because of it.

Hey 🤗 guys glad you doing this finally. But what I need to tell you is extremely important. If you want to do X-Men 97, I suggest you do the original animated one first before you do the new one. The new one is a continuation to the old one.Let's me tell you though you will love the old one as well as the new one. That's all.

Savannah, Georgia was used as a stand-in for Delacroix, Louisiana. However, this is still right up Anthony Mackie's wheelhouse. He grew in New Orleans, and if you were to go fishing in the South you'd be lucky to have him as your guide.
In an interview with Sean Evans on Hot Ones while promoting this show, Anthony revealed that he would go fishing in between takes of Infinity War and Endgame. He would have a grill next to his trailer to cook his fish on the spot. Some people had a problem with that, but their anger would quell upon tasting the fish.
Sharon was listed among the vanished victims in Avengers: Endgame. In truth she survived, but it's not a continuity error. Much like Scott, she simply couldn't be located.
The Madripoor scenes were filmed in Atlanta. It made it easier for Emily VanCamp's schedule because she was also working on the Fox medical drama The Resident at the same time.
In January 2020, the scenes for Riga, Latvia were originally supposed to be filmed in Arecibo, Puerto Rico as a stand-in. However, they had to film elsewhere due to a series of earthquakes at the time.
So they relocated to Prague, where they previously filmed Spider-Man: Far From Home.
By the time they started filming there in March of the same year, COVID happened which forced everyone to leave. They had to halt production until October when they were finally able to return. On the bright side, the shutdown allowed them to move along with the post-production.
Just a little reminder: Ayo [pronounced Ah-yol (portrayed by Florence Kasumba) who appears on the last scene of episode 3 is the same Dora Milaje who appeared in Civil War. She was also in a couple of scenes in Black Panther 2018.
And just like in Civil War, Daniel Brühl also portrayed Zemo for the German dub.
