7 episodes in and I think X-Men '97 is one of the best animated marvel shows based on my opinion and apparently every reactor watching it!

So, yes watch it, but maybe not right now 🤷♀️ Of course if watching something more current would help your channel…then you gotta make the good business decision and get the views. As others have said you don’t have to watch the OG series, as of right now, to understand 97. Like anything Marvel, they have done a good job of giving exposition for people not familiar with the backstories from the OG series. That being said I would love for you guys to watch the OG series if you can fit it into the schedule at some point. According to Coy @ Reel Rejects you can watch all 5 seasons of the OG series in 28 hours if you don’t sleep 😆 Whatever you guys decide is best for the channel and your schedules, I’m here for it, and look forward to watching along!!! Just remember the X-Men movies were very loosely based on the comics and the animated series are a far more authentic adaptation of the comics. Some characters and storylines will go from only a little different to almost completely different, but it’s all good stuff and the main themes still hold true in both the movies and animated series.

X-Men 97 is only on the third episode this week so you wouldn’t be spending a bunch of time watching it. You guys already watch a lot, adding another 5 seasons along with the mcu shows would feel like a lot.

The first episode of the original could almost stand alone to get the feel though. I do agree with others not to replace it with anything else you have going. Maybe do that EP of the original and see how you feel? Then do the new which I guess only has two EPS out so far? Idrk but I'd personally watch any and all.

2024-03-25 21:00:14 +0000 UTCIt’s amazing and you don’t HAVE to watch the original. They made the show in a way that everyone can enjoy, even if you haven’t seen the OG series. It’s a brand new story arc. Anything you need to know from the past gets explained right away. And they do a good job of reintroducing the characters like it’s the first time we’re meeting them. As long as you have a basic understanding of X-Men, you will love this show 💯. People who have seen the original just get the added bonus of childhood nostalgia.

2024-03-25 20:03:54 +0000 UTCI would enjoy it, but first you’d have to watch the original five seasons of X-Men: The Animated Series. X-Men ‘97 picks right after the events of season five. In other words, this is season six. Take your time though. Two more seasons are in development.
