2024-03-21 20:49:28 +0000 UTCI really think you guys completely misread the Drogon/Dany-interaction. It wasn't a cold shoulder or anything like that. What the show was trying to convey, was to establish how there is a special bond between a dragon and it's rider (in this case it's mother). Drogon knew instinctively that Dany needed him, given what just happened to her. So Drogon flew back to her to make his presence known. That short interaction was so helpful to Dany. The fact that Drogon flew away quite quickly again should not be viewed negatively (as if Drogon is angry at her or something). He simply came back to show her his support, and Dany left that very short interaction with renewed energy and confidence. It was the best thing that could happen to her at that point, and Drogon fully delivered.

I honestly still don't understand how someone can function without one. I use it for everything, work, planning, idk everything honestly. I can also think in pictures and scenes but it's usually accompanied by the monologue. I'd love to hear more about how Mrs. October thinks.

So, they were paying sex workers to give them soft, affectionate, safe experiences - instead of for sex. And I think Jon is SMART enough to realize that The Wildlings aren't any different than people who live south of the wall. He realizes that they just ended up behind the wall when it was built and now they're trying to get away from the White Walkers. Jon isn't flip flopping even though he has affection for them - he just sees the bigger picture.

And if you catch up with GoT, you could read the books and talk about them or other content like you said, plus you said you wanna watch HotD and watch along for S2 so ... sounds like there's no need to pace it out as much ... but I totally understand wanting to savor every moment of each journey.

2024-03-20 19:03:14 +0000 UTCWithout giving spoilers....I think Dany and her dragons have a mother/child relationship. They have a special connection with her because of how they were hatched. I felt that at this point in the show, Drogon was in the dramatic teenage phase. Definitely much more dragon action to come. I love how you're sifting through the shifts of this season already. There will be many "I didn't see that coming!" moments coming up over the next 2 seasons. It still blows my mind as many times as I've seen it. Very pivotal and key moments coming soon. Also, do you remember Syrio Forel? Arya's sword/fighting instructor hired by Ned in Season 1? He was from Braavos. Besides the fact that she had nowhere to go and she only had the coin Jaqen H-ghar gave her to travel with, I always felt he was also a reason for her to go there. Thanks for all the content! Reactions are great as usual!

You are doing well, and some of your thoughts are spot on, while others are not, just like everyone else. Now that their names have been fully revealed, the dragons were named for Dany's brothers and her husband. Rhaegal, Viserion, and Drogon...for Rhaegar, Viseryis?, and Drogo. I was surprised that you did not comment on how big Drogon is now. Also, my take on his cameo the first time I watched it was Drogon telling Dany that he was still there, not so much that he had outgrown her.
