Interstellar (2014) Reaction!

Comments

Mr. October: "Wow! Babe, so how do you rate this movie on a 1- 10? Mrs: October: "Oh, four hundred!" HAHAHA Perfect answer!! Her delivery, the 'no hesitation' and facial expression, made it even funnier, because it really underlined that she just gave the easiest reply ever.

McC

Have you ever seen Gravity? If not, I think it would be a great movie to react to ;)

McC

Dude... I didn't like Dune either so you're not alone.

Michael Shelton

I agree he wanted to save humanity. But he didn’t have to leave the whole team behind to die, that’s the evil part. Just because he didn’t want anyone to know he was a coward. He even rigged his robot to explode if anyone accessed the true data. His entire plan was to call for help and then murder the rescue crew to steal their ship.

imperial

No I genuinely believe he wanted to save humanity. He went insane, he was isolated for years.

Jake Follain

Truly a masterpiece. Christopher Nolan is the GOAT man. My other favorite space movie is The Martian with Matt Damon, Definitely worth a watch here. A simpler story scientifically but still great near future sci fi.

Christian

Saw it in theaters. Drunk. Due to some heavy psychedelic experiences, I was turned off by it whilst my friends liked it. Now because of reactors like you, I've come around to appreciating the majesty of this film. The only thing I dislike is the technocratic push to not care for the planet, but instead just leave it for a new one. But looked at from a different point of view, it also is a warning for us, right here and right now, to make the Home we're on right now a better one so that we never need to go through this.

Darth Sckolar

How’d Mann get to his world? If he couldn’t leave and go to Edmunds world how’d he reach his own from the wormhole? They don’t really address that but it would seem that the Rangers could only go so far.

Philbot

As others have said Arrival. Gravity. Contact. Put those 3 on your list. Lol.

Jonny

I never got Millers planet, isn’t settling that close to a black hole 🕳️ a bad idea?

Philbot

I can’t believe you didn’t like Dune GOT was inspired by Dune. At least all the houses and such..

Philbot

it's on our list!

Mr. October

yeah I think we heard of all of those too and glad you watched with us :)

Mr. October

it's gonna be fun to see that one hopefully our mind is changed. it was the worm riders for me. maybe it'll turn out to be cool

Mr. October

love this! thanks for the awesome words

Mr. October

😂 very curious to see if you like it or not. I thought I was the only person on the planet who didn’t like Part 1 lol

imperial

Yesss exactly! It’s not one of those scenarios where you can say “I get where he’s coming from.” I totally understand the fear he felt and the temptation to push the button. I get that. But once the rescue team arrived, all he had to do was admit the truth. They would have called him a coward but they would have still completed the mission together. I still don’t get why he tried to leave everyone behind after the truth was revealed.

imperial

Ok you convinced me 😂

Emily P

I did not like Dune either. But I watched Part 2 the other day and WOW. I cannot believe how much I loved it. It might be one of the best films I’ve seen. You should def check it out.

imperial

This was a first time watch for me too, it was so good. For some reason my brain always mashed this movie in with Arrival and Gravity so I thought I had already watched it. Ya'll should add those movies to your list as well! Both of them are also good.

ShittyShittyGameGang

Please catcch the Dark Knight series as well!! please !

Kevin Seet

If you are up for a change of pace, Godfather would be nice.

Flexorcist

I think from talking to other "Dune" dislikers that Villenueve made his films for people familiar with the story already. We get stunning visuals but not much explanation of the cultures and their backgrounds. It might have been better for our Octobers to see the 2000 series first.

Jim Schmitz

They took us to the current edge of scientific theory and then went farther. Human imagination is boundless. I get the impression that Nolan said' "made you think" with this one. Another space related, highly scientifically accurate film I recommend: "The Martian". It puts Matt Damon in a better light, too. My compliments to a great, complimentary reacting couple.

Jim Schmitz

One of the best movie's ever made.

Ljh

I got to see this movie in D-Box seats when it released in theaters its a chair that moves with the movie, still one of my top 2 movies ever. You guys should watch "Empire OF The Sun" star studded cast Steven Spielberg movie., "Gravity" also is another realistic space movie,. It stars Sandra Bullock and George Clooney as American astronauts who attempt to return to Earth after something unexpected happens in space. great movie. Also I am still gonna recommend the movie "The Witch" its a Korean film I know you guys would enjoy any of them.

Ron Silva

I really want yall to react to "Arrival" another great movie for you to theorize the shit out of haha

RegTravels

If you loved this, I recommend Contact, also with McConaughey and Jodie Foster.

Jared M

Beyond the stunning visuals, incredible scenes, suspenseful moments, apocalyptic stakes, beautiful music, and memorable script...this was a heartfelt story about a fathers love for his children. Thats why its one of the best films ever.

Joel

ngl I winced when you said you didn’t like Dune. I still like you, tho 😂

Ali S.

So I'm a huge Neil deGrasse Tyson fan and he was a consultant on this film too. Also, another great movie by Christopher Nolan is "Tenet".. It's one of my fav movies of all time, even though people think it's too complicated. It's not more complicated than this film and it also deals with time and time displacement.

RegTravels

Can the both of u check out man on fire

Rashad Walker

So any genre? More comedies would be fun too.

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

Christopher Nolan’s Inception might interest you too!

Earl anjejo

basically if its not 2000's rom coms or psychological thrillers we haven't really seen it, atleast Mrs O anyway! bc she's uncultured, but she's working on it, suggest away!

Mr. October

thanks jack! you're awesome!

Mr. October

Saw this movie in IMAX. It was one of the best movie experiences I ever had in my life. Christopher Nolan is the Goat! Hans Zimmer did the music and he's one of the Goats as well.

Kevin Matthew

I didn't see part two yet

Emily P

Yes. Can't get enough of that movie.

John H

Dune part two. Damn that is a masterpiece (part two).

John H

Well it's about so many things other than just physics. Humanity, survival, existence, time, space, love, family, togetherness ... There's much to be gleaned by way of delving into astronomics and physics, but it will always ultimately have to be framed and grounded through the lens of humanity. I can't remember the specific quote that TARS was saying about that. A lot of the themes/messages were just right direct in the dialogue with not much else to read into it besides the actual science behind a lot of the concepts, which people wouldn't have to understand in depth to enjoy or appreciate the movie. I appreciate how insightful y'all are/try to be, but I mostly appreciate when y'all can just sit with something and let it take you wherever you go, because I value that authenticy. I like seeing people being people, we're all so complex and interesting. Great react! Add Inception to your list if you want something like this! Is there a way to know what you have seen (besides what's been posted)? I feel I could make lists for days for y'all 😂.

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

Top tier space movie. Seen this many times still it hit hard. (father daughter thing). Imagine seeing this in a movie theatre and those silent space scenes...everyone held their breath and it was dead silent. End is a bit trippy but when you mess with space and time this way human mind can't follow.

John H

Yeah they seemed to think Mann had this motivation for humankind like Professor Brand, but he simply only wanted to save himself in the end because he saw no hope. It's a very good insight into the hopeless and fearful cowards way of survival.

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

I’m pushing off seeing it 😂 I will eventually. It’s just everywhere right now

Paris Hardy

What a nice surprise to wake up to. Definitely one of my top 5 favorite movies of all time.

sOMbr

Suggestion to add for the next poll: Inception (2010)

Belmiro

And this is why you are the best duo. The brain and the heart. This movie was made for you to react. And by the way, don't worry about saying you didn't like Dune, because I didn't like it either 😂

Steve Graham

I didn't like Dune either Mr. O 😂

Emily P

Its impossible not to cry during this movie damn

Jens B

You are correct in breaking it down. The human race evolved so much they became 5th dimensional beings. And they could help cooper in the past so he could help murph in the past to save the human race. How time travel to past works, No idea maybe its possible and are not smart enough yet haha. But most of the science in this movie is correct until the black hole. Kip Thorne a famous theoretical Physicist wrote a book about the science behind this movie and he was an consultant for this movie. So as mister october probably knows. Time is relative and becoming older then your own children is actually possible wich is insane. Love this movie 😊

Slow Shadow

And Dr Mann is 100% a villain for trying to kill Coop. The only reason Coop was taking the ship home was because he believed Mann’s fake data. He thought the mission was complete. When he found out the truth he was pissed, but he still would have agreed to go to Edmunds planet to finish the mission. The entire team would have agreed to go! There was no reason for Mann to steal the ship and leave them all behind to die.

imperial

This is in my top 3 movies of all time, might even be #1. I will never get tired of watching it and I love seeing other people react to it for the first time. Beautiful reaction guys!

imperial

One of my favourite movies ever, so happy you got around to watching it! Excited to watch it again with you guys!

Jakob JH

Another round 😅

Monkey D. Tomy

The soundtrack for this movie lives rent free in my head. Hans Zimmer was doing the Lord’s work on this one 🙌🏾

TC24

What's the name of the movie?

Thadman

Y'all just made my night with this one. Nothing better then coming home from a shitty night at work to see a post from you guys. Best reaction channel! ❤️
