What a slow burner this was!
Enjoyed it! Can't wait for more like it :)
When Woody Harrelson’s character talks about the building missing a floor, I think he’s referring to the 13th floor. Architects, developers and building owners would typically leave out #13 when numbering the floors due to cultural superstitions surrounding number 13.

This movie is directed by the brothers Ethan and Joel Coen. They wrote and directed Fargo and O Brother Where Art Thou.
This is probably the darkest of their serious films.
One of their best comedies, however, is Raising Arizona. Go watch that. It’s really funny.

Anton got the money after Llewyn was dead, because he knew that he stashed it in the vents.

You did a good job catching the theme of the movie. It's a tough one to most people because it's so deep and not obvious. It's one of those movies you'll watch a few times every couple years and it makes more and more sense and you see the expertise of writing in it. I think a lot of people would be turned off by this movie just because it isn't a straight forward story with how the main character randomly dies off screen and then the abrupt ending. It's not character or plot driven it's heavily thematically driven. It's not about good guys or bad guys winning, it's just a random series of events to drive home a principle.

Damn! Lol. “That’s Jesse’s mom on breaking bad”. I’ve watched that series twice and I don’t know what his mom looks like lol

So apparently there was a money / drug exchange that was to go down. It clearly went south. The business men buying the drugs and the cartel selling. When things went south the cartel went looking for their money as well as the business men hired Anton. I’m not clear on who took the drugs. But those cartel men were in lewellyn’s room waiting on him to return because the business men gave them a tracker also to help find the money when Anton surprised them with his gun lol. But lewellyn slid the money to another room and got away. It all ended when the cartel got lewellyn location from his chatty mother in law and killed him and maybe took the money.

1st time watching all the way through. It had potential, but I did not care for the ending.
I had not noticed that there was no music. Great job pointing that out. It's the one thing that I truly LOVED about this movie. There was no clue as to what to feel about what was on the screen, except WHAT WAS HAPPENING ON THE SCREEN. I wish more movies would do that.

At the beginning of the movie the guy in the truck dying said close the door "Lobos" that means wolves in Spanish.

Not sure if you guys have a list of one offs or genres your watching but some personal favorites I’d like to see here are Pulp Fiction and Se7en.

Blood Simple should be your next Coen Bros movie, in my opinion. It’s a modern (for its time) Film Noir. Wicked sense of humor and a suspenseful cat and mouse game. Or Fargo. It’s a classic!
