Loving this universe it is a great time so far.

The Magneto prison scene though!

1st off, even if Nightcrawler did try to kill the president of his own accord, people who are oppressed will always rise up and fight! Kind of hypocritical for a people who constantly start wars for their own freedom to turn around and tell others who are being oppressed that being violent is not the way to make their case for their freedom! Your guess was wrong, the attack on the mutant school had absolutely nothing to do with Magneto. He loves his bestie Charles and they may fight alot but he does his best to avoid mutant casualties and certainly would not just attack mutant children because they have a different opinion about fighting humans. Mystique and Magneto may be the "antagonists" but they are NOT evil! They are fighting a war against a race that treats them like less than animals just because they are mutants. The justification that all mutants should be vilified and treated like criminals because some might use their powers to harm others is racist! And it is extremely dehumanizing to assume that the humans have a right to fear all mutants because some have dangerous powers and some small part of those with a dangerous power might use it for bad things, when humans are just as if not more dangerous or not except that mutants have more reason to fear humans. I deeply dislike Jean but the other personality within her is my favorite character (after Gambit and Cyclops, who are tied) and that personality is exceptionally powerful!

Origins wolverine first then first class

asia roberson

For me the best scene was Nightcrawler in the white house.

Jay Owin

Wanda is a mutant, X-Men are Marvel Characters, they're just so cool they couldn't be added to the MCU until coming soon! Avengers movies would have just been X-Men if they'd had the rights and etc. X-Men are the ultimate, that's why these movies existed first!

Charissa Kay

This is a spoiler lol

With all the studios making their own streaming services they have to honor prior deals for streaming rights. They're slowly bringing all the fox and Sony movies to Disney plus but it comes in small chunks. Not exactly sure what the deal is with this movie but I'm guessing that's what's going on. The Spider-Man movies were only added in the past year and they're still missing No Way Home which eventually will make it's way over.

If you're ever interested in an X-Men related TV Show, check out the series Legion from 2017. It's not directly related to the X-Men movies, though there were plans to have it in the same shared universe, but it's based on the character David Haller, who's the son of Charles Xavier, a very powerful mutant.

AzraRillian

though he isn't part of the X-men movies / MCU shared universe, Legion is a strong contender as well, for the most powerful.

AzraRillian

Back at ya!

Thadman

Yes I meant to say adamantium not vibranium. Thanks.

Tayshawn Williams

Happy Birthday Brother!

RegTravels

Actually adamantium is supposed to be stronger. Vibranium has different properties, like absorbing and reflecting vibration, it can be used as a power source, etc. Adamantium is just supposed to be indestructible once it hardens whereas we've seen vibranium is hard to break, because of its vibration shifting nature, but it can be broken.

Thadman

😂😂😂 let’s go

Mr. October

Heh, my birthday was on Tuesday.

Thadman

Wolverine wasn’t a failed experiment. His experiment actually worked. You will see that in Xmen origins wolverine which is the next movie after X3.

Tayshawn Williams

Also Jean is the MOST POWERFUL IN THE MARVEL UNIVERSE. Her and Wanda are the most powerful .

Tayshawn Williams

I figured he wasn't an Auburn fan, but he did mention us, so WDE! hahahhah

RegTravels

Thanks yall! Gearing up for a "birthday" trip to South Asia. I'm glad I got some extra content from yall that I can watch on the plane.

RegTravels

righttttttt! I rolled a blunt as soon as I saw the notification haha

RegTravels

And no anamentium and vibranium are two of the same but different. Vibraium I think is just a little bit stronger.

Tayshawn Williams

You all have no idea what you’re in for with this xmen franchise. It’s the best. Wolverine is my favorite comic book character. There literally couldn’t be a better casting than him. You’ll see him shine in his own solo movies just wait.

Tayshawn Williams

Wolverine is fond of saying "I'm the best there is at what I do". It was nice to see him in action for a little of this movie. Of course, the movies are never as good as the books, and in this case the "Amazing X-Men" comic books, there are just toooo many characters and all the different ways they tie into each other,. But these films are very good depictions of some of the main X-Men and villians. They are really good y'all. So glad you're checkin em out. So many Amazing X-Men to come.

Sir_Dalagad

In the comics Wanda and her brother Pietro or Quicksilver, who y’all saw in Avengers: Age of Ultron are actually Magneto’s kids

TC24

best villain scene ever!

Mr. October

Mr. October

hahaha he’s not an auburn fan lol he better be a south carolina gamecock fan bc that’s where mrs o went lol

Mr. October

wow i never put that comparison together but that does make sense

Mr. October

Idk, if you guys know that Sir Ian McKellen is openly gay in real life, and he helped with writing the scene where Bobby (Iceman) “comes out” as a mutant to his parents. He has spoke in interviews about how the real world issues of discrimination that are central to the X-Men stories are what made him decide to take the role of Magneto. As others have mentioned, the X-Men have always been an allegory for minorities dating all the way back to their debut in Marvel Comics in 1963 when they were an allegory for the civil rights movement. Stan Lee has said in interviews that he got tired of coming up with origin stories for how characters got their abilities and super powers. So,he came up with the idea of some humans mutating and developing abilities because of natural evolution. This opened up so many creative narrative possibilities, by not having to focus on a character’s super power origin, the creators were free to focus more on the day to day struggles that so many people suffer from simply because they were born different from the perceived majority. Making the mutations typically manifest during puberty is just another fantastic layer complexity and relatability that makes this corner of Marvel all the more interesting and enjoyable to explore, while at the same time giving the central plot a sense of timeless relevance. These movies have their faults, and don’t always honor the source material and characters the way they should, but at their core, in my opinion, they really do capture the spirit of the X-Men.

CheshireKat528

Magneto’s prison break in this movie is one of my all time favorite scenes from a superhero movie, it is so good! I love the look of glee that Magneto has as he is committing multiple murders. You can tell McKellen is having a great time! So, idk if you guys have noticed, but Erik aka Magneto is a theatrical, dramatic, petty smart a**, sassy, B*tch and that’s why we love him, or maybe that’s just why I love him 😜 I also love that he reminds Mrs.October of Loki, another favorite character of mine. What can I say, I have a type 🤷‍♀️ The scene of Magneto and Mystique being childish “mean girls” on the Blackbird jet with Rouge, Iceman, & Pyro is perfection. I love how Rouge only has to remove her glove to threaten Magneto, and then the look he gives her, facial expression acting at its finest. Sir Ian is indeed a master at his craft.

CheshireKat528

so are you ryan

Mr. October

wow thanks for sharing that! good information!

Mr. October

love their dynamic

Mr. October

happy sunday friend

Mr. October

Stan Lee was a genius for developing this concept. Prof. X as Martin Luther King and Magneto as Malcolm X. They nailed the premisis in these movies.

DarrellWaller

oh fuck yes! Woke up, saw this had been uploaded. Time to roll a fatass blunt and watch you guys experience one of the best superhero movies ever! Happy Sunday!

DCorvs

Yeah to just show you strong Magneto can be, in the comics he deflected Thor's hammer as well reversed the polarity of the Earth. That's how strong Magneto can get. Obviously they have to rein it in the movies. Lol similar to the MCU...we havent seen several of these characters at full power.

Jonny

Loving the content guys. You are great!

Ryan Reynolds

When The X-Men were created, they were meant as an allegory to the civil rights movement and prejudice against minorities 'cause it was the 1960s. By the time these movies came out in the early 2000s, the allegory switched to a different minority in the LGBTQ community and they very much adopted them to represent their plight to just want to coexist without discrimination. Talk about political. ;-) But truly, mutants appeal to many different people who may feel out of place or out of the ordinary. Granted, everyone is out of the ordinary, but sometimes you FEEL much moreso.

Thadman

I feel like if it was a threat from Charles, it's mostly a threat of war and saying, "Now that you see what we can do, do you REALLY want to start a war?" Before you get into a war, you should understand the projected casualties and that gave the President a better picture of what those could be.

Thadman

Many people are familiar with the comics and the cartoon so when that last scene overtop of the water showed that image, fans got really hyped up. It was an awesome teaser/easter egg. I hope after you watch the third one in this original trilogy, you continue with X-Men 1st Class and onward.

Ray H

Also... War Eagle! haha

RegTravels

I don't ever remember them saying in the movies, so I can tell you that in the comics, Mystique turned out to be Nightcrawler's mother. It was a tragic tale of woe that she just threw him away, in a river, I believe. That's how he was found by the circus and they raised him (and gave him the name, as he said here, The Incredible Nightcrawler).

Thadman

Don't forget Gandalf.

JIM SCHMITZ

I'm writing it down: "Jean is alive". Good luck with that, Mrs.

JIM SCHMITZ

Nightcrawler is my favorite too, with Magneto in close second.

RegTravels

Yall are pumping these out! It's like you know my birthday is Thursday haha

RegTravels

Aaand with this movie, you have met my favorite X-Man, Nightcrawler. Ever since I read my first X-Men comic in the late 80s and then started buying my own in early 90s, he's been my favorite. My friend, who worked in a comic book shop at the time, would ask me, "Why Nightcrawler? So, he can teleport. How's that useful?" I'd just sigh and shake my head. Then we went to see this and the opening scene with how quickly he takes out all the Secret Service men and almost kills the President, my friend said, "NOW I get it," and I said, "Told ya he's cool." Not just that, because of the color of his skin, he's virtually undetectable in the dark (except for the yellow eyes, if light gets shown on them), he can climb walls and ceilings and has a tail that can be used as a fifth appendage. Oh, and it's said in the comics that when he teleports in a puff of smoke, it smells like brimstone, so people smell brimstone and he's there, looking like a demon without horns, but he's the nicest, most polite person ever.

Thadman

You guys should also watch Marvels 2005 Fantastic Four to also part of the Marvel 💯

Michael

I honestly didn’t expect you guys to follow up so quickly. This is one of the best Saturdays ever. Mrs. O, last time you said Shawn Ashmore plays a cop in Alan Wake II. Well he currently also portrays an LAPD officer in the ABC cop drama The Rookie starring Nathan Fillion. Some of the best worst villains are the cowardly ones like Stryker whose underlings are also victims. He messed with their minds and controlled them like puppets, including his own son and Lady Deathstrike. In my opinion, Storm, Nightcrawler, and Iceman were the highlights of this film. However, I also need to acknowledge Colossus. He's the mutant who can turn his whole body into metal, and he helped the students evacuate the mansion. I’m actually familiar with another version of Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler through a cartoon I grew up watching called X-Men: Evolution. In the series, he was adopted by a German couple when he was just a baby. Years later, he moves to the States as a teenager to join the X-Men. He also enrolls in a high school with them.

Can yall keep it down I'm trying to go to sleep 😁🙃😁🙃
