When he dropped his shield after the fight with Tony that was him also giving up the mantle. In the comics during this time he goes by the name Nomad. *Most of us actually love bearded and rogue Cap’s look. *I would love to answer some more of the questions you asked, but I don’t wanna accidentally give you spoilers. **’Antman & Wasp’ and ‘Captain Marvel’ are a must watch before Avenger’s Endgame as they both connect to it and, in a way, explain some other questions you asked. Thanos specifically said resources are finite so soon the only food would be each other so it makes since but is a dark plan. Also, sad note that when Groot turned to dust his last word to rocket was “dad” that makes seeing that hit so hard and ironic only rocket survived (gamora kinda a guardian at this moment) which was the one death you mentioned.

Dr. Strange chose Tony Stark over the stone because he knew they wouldn’t win this time and he knows that Stark will be needed for them to win in the future. Great reaction! Your next two movies aren’t that great but the wait will be worth it when you get to Endgame.

But just remember what happened in Infinity War for the upcoming movies, because it will be important: 1. Heimdall, Loki and half of Asgard died. The other half has no home. 2. Thanos sacrificed Gamora for the soul stone. 3. Dr. Strange gave Thanos the time stone to spare Tonys life. 4. Thanos killed Vision to get the mind stone. 5. Thanos snapped half of life in the universe away and he still has the stones. 6. A lot of heroes vanished with the snap. 7. Ant-Man was not in that movie.
