Surprisingly one of the first Reactions from you, across all movies, I did not enjoy. Granted, I have Ghosty tattooed on me, but right from the start you seem to be pissed off.

2023-10-20 08:02:50 +0000 UTCI agree and disagree with your thoughts cause I think Scream is one of the most consistent franchises since most other horror franchises branch off and have like 10 different timelines or continuity errors. You can tell they try to cater to the OG fans because Scream 5 was supposed to mirror 1 and Scream 6 mirrors 2 since the motives were the same (Nancy getting revenge for Billy) but at the same time the execution of the killers was terrible and all of them surviving was unrealistic. And as for them moving to NY they collectively chose to go to the same college on the opposite side of the country to stick together so its not that far fetched as Sidney did the same in 2. Theres no such thing as a terrible Scream movie in my opinion cause they all have redeeming qualities in their own ways but I cant wait for 7.

Also, psychosis is KNOWN to run in families, so it's not a stretch that multiple family memebrswould suffer from it - like Nancy to Billy to Sam. Also I think it's highly likely the dad here wanted revenge and dragged his kids into, drawing perhaps on the fact that they loved their brother and probably pulling some 'if you really loved Richie, then you'd avenge him' crap. Parents excusing horrible things their kids do isn't an out there thing, either. TONS of parents coddle their children who comment crimes - hell, just look at how many parents will stand in court when their kid is being accused of murder, drunk driving, sexual assault or whatever and be like "MY SON WOULD NEVER, THEY'RE A GOOD KID". Also, the slut shaming is a big yikes, totally not cool. We left that kinda shit behind in high school. People can sleep with whoever and however many people they want. Usually a big fan of your stuff, but the slut shaming off Quinn was a huge red flag.

Like by the time the reveal happened I was irritated, and was like wrap this movie up, please! haha these writers were testing my patience 100 percent Like you guys said, I miss the Wes Craven feel of the original ones, like at the very least the first 3 were all very original, even though S3 has some goofy moments, I still love it, it has that 90's grounded vibe to it imo but great reaction! Look forward to more ๐ค๐ผ
