Captain America Civil War Reaction!
Added 2023-09-14 17:09:06 +0000 UTCAlright Marvel fans... WHAT! Unfortunately we knew the bad news about Chadwick Boseman which is so unfortunate (so the reveal of YOU KNOW WHO we already knew about, but SPIDERMAN.... HUH?)
This felt like essentially an Avengers film (minus Thor, Bruce & Nick Fury! miss you guys, please come back soon!)
So basically where do you stand on this matter, we see both sides but we are both leaning towards Cap! Sorry Iron Man, I totally get where he is coming from though! Please tell us where you stand and why!
PS We understand Wanda & Vision a little bit, but honestly, no, no we don't because their powers have not been defined and I'm wondering if those are altered since we have read that Wanda initially got her powers bc she is an X Man or something? Please COMIC FANS....HELP! Wondering if the dynamic of gaining them from the Mind Stone make her and him have different powers or skills due to the change. LET US KNOW!

When it comes to the Accords, I can see Cap's side, although Tony is more correct (and if they dont agree voluntarily it will be forced upon them) but I feel like the Accords were a very minor conflict in this movie. When it comes to the main 2 reasons for Steve and Tony fighting, I side with Tony 100%! 1st, I get Steve wanting to protect the man who was his friend over 70 years ago, but to choose the man who is essentially a stranger now over his team not to mention the illegal, destructive and violent way he went about it, no, not on his side there. Tony was working with the information he and the rest of the world had available while Steve was running on nostalgic emotions, and when he learned the truth he went to Steve to apologize and help him (something Steve did not do when he learned that he was wrong about Zimo wanting to use the other Winter Soldiers). Then the 2nd fight, where Tony had to watch the murder of his parents at the hands of Bucky and Steve didnt even try to console Tony he just immediately jumped to Bucky's defense. This is extremely aggravating for a number of reasons, mainly because in the Winter Soldier Steve was acting entitled to top secret information about Bucky being alive, from the director of Shield, who didnt even know, yet that same movie found out about Tony's parents, how they really died and who did it and had all this time to break it to Tony and explain but didnt. So, I guess only Steve is entitled to information regarding someone he cares about, but Tony is not entitled to know his parents were actually murdered and who killed them? If Steve had not been a hypocrite and applied the standard regarding information to others and not just himself, Tony would have had time to process and things would have gone differently in both fights between the 2. This entire civil war is entirely the fault of Steve Rogers! I also side with Tony for the most part because everyone else is given the benefit of the doubt or comforted when their mistakes cost lives (aka, Wanda) yet they continue to blame Tony for something was barely even partially his fault> Ultron was his idea, yes, but not something he would be able to do without Bruce, was manipulated into rushing into by Wanda, and didnt even succeed at turning on, that was the scepter/mind stone's doing. And just because words come out of Cap's mouth do not make them truth. He acts like the accords are Tony's fault, like they were his idea and he was coercing the team to sign. They were not his idea and there were others arguing on behalf of the accords before Tony even made a comment on them.
