Weekly Bonus #20

 Hi Patrons !

Here is the weekly number 20 , during the intensive last week production of episode 10. More and more panels of future episode 10 "Summer Special" are reaching 'final' rendering. It's a speechless episode, a way to let all translator of the project in August holidays.

The rendering of each panels is detailed and sharp as I like and I think I finally found the right drawing/painting technique : a little synthesis to all what I tried between previous episodes , from ep01 to ep09. That's a nice feeling to get this part solved and I'll try to document the process in details in a future public tutorial.

I also took time during the creation process of a complex panel 'Inside the monster' to do more screenshot and comment it with all new technical details, step by step. It's the big picture in attachment. I hope you'll like it.

Many thanks for your support !

I love your whimsical gorgeously detailed artwork with Pepper&Carrot! I looked at the step-by-steps, but as I'm not an artist, I confess that I couldn't see significant difference between the colored frames. Is it possible you could provide an animated GIF or something similar, so that the changes stand out more?

Scott McNay

Hey, yes ; I found this one with a lot of random test. It's not perfect and I plan to create a guide soon to describe for Krita developers what type of result would be optimal. A new blending mode to do 'colored line-art' ( or more than one, with various style ) would be , in my opinion , a powerful feature.

David Revoy

i never tested grain merge with line art layer. due to muscle memory i always set it in multiply mode. Thanks for sharing this :) , it will definitely save time coloring all the line-arts with alpha locked . The panel is really gorgeous
