jasper x kai 💜 + plushie update

Hello my gemlins~!

I drew this tonight and I like it enough to wanna share it with you 💜

I've been making really good progress this week with all my work! #MUTED spicy special is coming along very nicely (I posted a preview of Kai's butt in my Discord server last night, every Patreon supporter is welcome to join and hang out, chat or just lurk!), I can post 3-4 new pages for you this month!

Shallow Sleep is also progressing, most of the sketches for chapter 1 are done, I hope to start inking and colouring next week (I'll be streaming a lot of it).

I'd also like to remind you one final time of the JASPER AND KAI PLUSHIES!
The campaigns will be over on Monday.

I also wanna be transparent about how this has been going for me, so here's some additional info:
I've spoken to my contact at Makeship and we've come up with a way to make sure that the plushies WILL BE produced! I have to reach 179 sales for each of them, at the time of writing this post that means Kai needs 2 more orders, Jasper needs 7 more.
The company can buy out the remaining percentage of necessary sales to ensure that the plushies can be produced and everyone who's ordered them will be getting them.
This means I will not be earning a single cent with the plushies, but to me it's more important that I'm not completely disappointing my audience or the company that chose to risk working with me, so I'm fine with that. It's been a learning experience and I will either be doing things very differently in the future or I might just never branch out into merchandise again, I haven't decided yet. Putting in half a year of work for zero profit is perfectly fine with me once, but I can't afford to do that again, especially not with the current financial situation almost all of us are in these days *sweatssss*

I bought some of the plushies myself in order to push up the percentage a bit, and also because I want to give some to friends and family and have a few spare ones to maybe sell in the future to people who missed the campaigns or only found #MUTED later down the line.

So, yeah while the campaigns haven't really been going great I am still very happy with the amount of passion those of you who did order the plushies have shown ; o;) So many people have been invested in this journey, it's been really heart-warming to see.
I was also pleasantly surprised to see Makeship doing their best to help me succeed with this; of course their main reason is their own profits, which makes sense, but it's still been uplifting to me as the creator that they haven't just been leaving me to my own devices but have been in regular contact with me, and bringing in suggestions to help \o/

So yeah, that's about it for now, I'll be back in a few days with some #MUTED comic special pages :3c
