Hello my gemlins~

I finally got around to finishing this piece today!! It's been haunting me in my sleep for weeks XD

Working with screentones was a lot of fun and good practise, I rely on colours so much that making an image work in black and white feels very different and also more difficult to me at this point. I do quite like the result, there's things I could have done better (the belts stick out to me immediately) but I decided to move on from this for now and just call it done, on to the next drawing~! (I might go back at some point to do some improvement work)

I also realised that I need to learn to plan a picture like this through from the beginning, I didn't know what to do with the background since I only put this one floating table into the image, in a very awkward position too. A simple rectangle in the bg did the job just fine but I wish I would have put more thought into the overall vibe and look of the illustration ;;;; Something to keep in mind for the future!

All in all, I enjoyed working on this and it feels good to have another WIP finished :3

I have a lot of work on my hands right now and it's been difficult to figure out what to work on each day, which leaves me a bit paralysed at times, I feel like most of my energy goes into thinking about what I desperately need to do without actually doing anything LOL (or at least feeling like I didn't do anything XD) More on that train of thought in an upcoming post that will be visible for all Patrons!
