WIP & Jasper's apartment!

Hello my gemlins!

Today I'm here to show you some work in progress that's been happening on the next and final episode of chapter 6! I do believe I mentioned before that I've been rewriting the last and this episode multiple times already, and that process went on until just two days ago, hahaha.

I tried to cut the scene down to the essentials, I changed order and dialogue 5 times because I was determined to keep it short and digestible but in the end I still ended up with....... 15 pages of storyboard 😂😂😂 And I finally decided to leave it like that, if necessary I will post this episode in two parts, depending on how fast I can progress. I would very much like to post it in full but I also don't want to make you all wait for too long.

Other than that I wanted to show you guys what Jasper's apartment looks like! I made it a while ago in Sims 4 but I was annoyed by the design limitations and also by the game itself, it kept updating, deactivating the mods, I kept having to restart, Origin would always log me out...... by the time I got the game to run it'd be 20min later and half the textures were broken and the boys would look like this:

Anyway, a fellow creator friend had recommended a website called Homestyler that can be used to create floor plans but also actual rendered 3D views of rooms and apartments that can be filled with furniture and doors and stuff from a HUGE database of 3D assets.

So I went to work on that for like 10 hours straight and the results are what you can see if you swipe through the images up in this post!

Jasper's apartment is pretty huge, the city in which #muted plays (which is based heavily on where I live) has pretty cheap rent prices, so even bigger apartments can be affordable without having to pay ridiculous amounts of money. Plus, as we've seen, he comes from a pretty wealthy family, so he has definitely some money saved up in his bank account too, he just doesn't like to flaunt it. But what he does like is having a home that he loves and feels comfortable in, so he would be willing to put in the money either way.

Also please note that I made the rooms bigger than I would imagine them to be irl, solely because it makes it easier for me to pan the camera around freely without getting stuck in walls or furniture when I take reference pictures XD So when I say "xy isn't very big" but it still looks BIG, that's why!

His favourite part is the living room, he spends like 90% of his time there. It's ridiculously spacey and most of his plants live there (also on the balcony/ small wintergarten but I haven't decorated that yet)(it sounds like I'm playing Animal Crossing #Muted edition LOL). He loves how much light gets into the room through that huge window and he just loves the over all vibe of the room. He uses it for leisure, but also for work if necessary.

His kitchen is on the smaller side and connected with the corridor. He enjoys cooking but it's not super important to him, so he makes do with the space he has. (I wish I had that much space!!! spoiled brat T -T) It does have all  the essentials tho and a big fridge, which he loves!!

His bathroom and bedroom are both practical and neat, not too much clutter, especially the bedroom has more of a hotel room feel to it. He's not too fond of the room itself but his bed is very good quality and super comfy. He's just there to sleep and get dressed, otherwise he doesn't spend any time in there.

And that's pretty much it :') I wanna make Kai's small apartment soon too, hopefully next month I'll find some time for that :)!
