Lately, I've been so busy that I haven't had the inspiration to record any music.
As you guys probably know, I'm a huge Smashing Pumpkins fan. I re-tuned one of my guitars back to standard tuning today and played a familiar chord progression - the intro to Cherub Rock, which I've recorded a cover of before.
I decided to try to throw together a super quick little recording and it winded up taking over an hour of my time to produce. 😩
I only intended to record the first part of the song up to the start of the first chorus but I sort of paused in the middle of it and decided to just keep on playing.
I've never played Bass guitar to Cherub Rock so I improvised on the guitar riffs. It doesn't sound great and there are actually two different Bass tracks in the recording because my first run was really sloppy.
