Introducing: The Rosenthal family

I saw some of you guys were a bit confused about Jasper's family situation so I thought it'd be nice to introduce everyone real quick :>

As reference: Jasper at the current time (in chapter 6) is like 30, I think. I didn't put it into these character sheets because it's not that important, just the age difference to his brothers.

Jacob is the one who just got married to Louise. They've been together for like 5 years, I imagine they met somewhere at work (some law firm probably) and just hit it off immediately.

Elias is who we (aka $5+ gemlins) just met, the grumpy young kid who just interrupted our boys during a crucial moment :') Don't mistake him for Jacob! They're very different people. Eli is a good kid, he's just going through some things (hello puberty I think we all remember that)

And of course Mrs. Rosenthal, who won't get a name because why bother (tho fanta said she looks like she could be called "Helen" [I actually really like the name, maybe I'll use it for someone in a future comic]). I think both she and Eli get more flack from the audience than they deserve sometimes, but I'm saying that in a position that's quite different from the reader's perspective since I know a little more about them :') And because of that I feel more protective of them than I initially thought I would hahah

They all have their flaws, but both Eli and Mrs. R are good people in their heart, just not very good at expressing themselves.

But I can pretty much assure everyone that I will never write characters that are just nasty for the heck of it, I have no interest in writing weird cartoon villains that are just evil for the plot and protagonist's sake. I definitely want to learn more in the future about how to get that across better and make people see my antagonist's motivations more clearly without having to spell them out :')) I do like my topics quite vague but it's difficult for the audience sometimes. Tho I gotta say my readers here are very attentive and I can always trust in you guys to get what I was going for, which is a very pleasant feeling :D

Anyway I hope this is a bit interesting for you to look at! If you have any questions, feel  free to ask, I'll try to reply  ̶(̶i̶n̶ ̶a̶ ̶t̶i̶m̶e̶l̶y̶ ̶m̶a̶n̶n̶e̶r̶ ̶l̶m̶a̶o̶o̶o̶ ̶/̶g̶e̶t̶s̶ ̶k̶i̶c̶k̶e̶d̶)̶ ̶O̶T̶L̶)̶

two litters 😂 i love that!! that's so interesting to hear, it's similar for me. i have 3 siblings and my youngest older brother is 12 years older than me while the others are all similar in age. i pretty much grew up as a single child since my 2 oldest siblings had already moved out when i was born and my 3rd bro moved out when i was like 3. i only realised that our relationships aren't that of typical siblings i knew since i didn't grow up with them at all. now that we're all adults i feel a lot more of a connection to them than i used to haha (to two of them at least 😂)

Good to know!! Also, like the Rosenthals, my family has what we call "two litters": the youngest of my older brothers is 11 years older than me. We used to be very close and then we drifted a little when they started families. It didn't seem weird to me until we were all adults. (And boy are we -- one of us is FIFFFFTY!) These days I feel like I have just one brother (the youngest of us is only 3 years apart from me) and three older cousins. The "politics" of these kinds of families is complicated and weird but we do love each other -- so I completely understand this dynamic!

I *really* wanna like Mrs. R....because my mom is exactly the same. She loves and cares about me, but she doesn’t just doesn’t get it.
