Where To Blog

Having a blog attached to the website has been something I've wanted for a long time. The original egee.io website itself was a blog and I wrote about Linux "news" and stuff I did on the channel.
The current egee.io website is built with Jekyll and uses a semi-custom theme, as most Jekyll sites do. But I discovered a big problem with it - the blog posts aren't indexed by search engines.
A big part of blogging on the site is to increase SEO and authority for the website itself but also for my YouTube videos. If Google isn't indexing them, they aren't improving discoverability and are basically doing... Nothing.
So this brings me to the question in the title - where should I blog? Should I spend the time to "fix" the site to get those pages indexed? Or should I just blog on Medium?
I sort of stopped blogging on Medium for a few reasons, none of them are particularly "bad", but it's worth writing a separate blog post for it.
Writing good blog posts is a lot of work and I'm probably not going to write any more until I figure the index issue out, because it's simply not a good use of my time. It's frustrating because Jekyll is built with SEO in mind yet my posts are not being indexed. Grrrr.
