The extra couple artwork for this month! 💕

I drew the sketch for this at the end of December but wasn't really sure where I wanted to go with it until finally, a few days ago I felt the need to do something in black &white with some hatching again :') I'd just read an amazing comic the days before which was completely black and white, which was really inspiring.

Changing direction every now and then is so vital for my creative process! If I spend too much time doing the same things over and over (for example like the redraw right now), I get incredibly exhausted and tired of it, so I'll always need some extra projects here and there, that will let me experiment with different styles/techniques/tools. My stamina and patience has become much better over the last few years, otherwise MUTED would never have reached the 150 pages mark, haha.

Also, after the most recent scene in the comic I realised how much I enjoy Kai being a little more.... confident. Or more like, without me actually doing anything, I feel like he's at the point where he can start building up his confidence again, and it will be very much visible in the upcoming chapters! I legit feel like a proud parent who's watching their children grow up LOL
