yuu & alan

two of fantakoi's and my gw2 characters 💕

i drew yuu as a warm-up some time in the beginning of june, and today my warm-up was alan, so we could have them together as a set.

some background info on them, in case anyone would like to know more about them x)

yuu was born into a very rich, noble family. he generally doesn't like humans very much, everything he's seen in his circles since he was a child were masquerades, dishonesty, schemes and general bad behaviour from everyone, so to him it seemed like that was what people were supposed to be like. so they weren't worth his time. he has a soft spot for most animals (especially choya are his favourite). however, he cannot stand rats and skritt. he became a necromancer because the company of the dead seemed much more enjoyable than that of living beings. also his profession and him being surrounded by undead minions all the time kept people at a distance, which he appreciated very much.

alan was born in the streets and has an equally strong hatred for most people. he spent his childhood living among a lot of skritt, who, unlike humans, who abandoned him and treated him like trash, took care of him and provided him a lot with necessary things like food and shelter. in turn he'd be ready to fight for them and protect them with his life. this got him the title "honorary skritt" which he carries proudly, despite yuu's dislike of them.

when he and yuu were still both children, yuu saw little alan in the street once when he was out with his parents and immediately decided this boy was going to become his bodyguard. so his family took him in, trained him to become a revenant, and they've been inseparable ever since.

yuu distrusts everyone, but alan he trusts with his life. they both don't care about anyone else but each other, so having the responsibility to save tyria isn't exactly something they'd choose for themselves but as long as they have each other and as long as there's enough bad guys to kill they'll see it through until the end.

make no mistake, they're not "good" people, they genuinely don't care most of the time. but being the saviours of an entire planet comes with the benefits of everyone turning the other way when these two go on yet another bloody rampage, so it's a win/win for everyone.
