Aging Wheels Tool Tour!

You asked and I answered. This video had no cohesive goal or point. I just walked around my shop and talked about various tools. I could've talked way more about this stuff, but the video would be an hour long and significantly more boring. I hope you enjoy. If not, the next video will be back to normal. Whatever normal is.

Aging Wheels Tool Tour!

Comments

I posted this in the YouTube comments, but I figured I'd post it here too. I loved the tool review. You have an honest and entertaining way of presenting, and I would definitely watch more if you post them! You could review more than just tools as well ;-)

Marcus

I've never actually used the brushed version, but I'd still say yes. The brushless versions almost always get some extra attention besides the motor upgrade. And mine's fantastic, so I can recommend.

Need to buy a weedeater/edger to take care of some extra yard work, do you think the Ryobi brushless 40V worth the extra $40 over the brushed version?

Joshua Przygocki

I was going to rant about my Ryobi 1.5ah batteries being completely useless and not lasting very well. Then I remembered they are probably 8 years old. Definitely need the big boys for the angle grinder or you're gonna have a bad time.

Ben Jones

I clamp up mine like that as well. It's actually allowed me to stave off buying a proper floor standing bandsaw

Aging Wheels

I love that cordless ryobi bandsaw and purchased one after seeing it in one of your videos a while back. I especially like that the bottom of the handle is flat so you can clamp it to a workbench and use it like a vertical bandsaw too. Super convenient.

Matthew Little

My spouse is currently 3d printing five wall mounts for our Ryobi batteries so we stop misplacing them around the workshop. After those are done I'm hoping to figure out some way to hang our ever-growing collection of Ryobi tools so they're easily findable & storable.

That sounds like an excellent idea. They have several multi room options. And if you don't want the big thing on the wall, they make concealed ceiling cassettes

i'm considering mini-splits to retrofit a house with Lathe & Plaster walls & no ductwork - any advice?

Thank you for the tour. I to am a Ryobi tool user also. :D Great in sight on the brush-less part of the line.

*insert poor Christopher Walken impression here* “Yay”

I'm happy to hear that because I want to do that exact thing. That's basically the entire reason I got that mini chainsaw I mentioned at the end.

I’m in San Diego and the closest outlet store you mentioned is in OK. Guess it’s time to hop a flight? Just kidding! I also at enjoy watching tool videos. I would watch videos if you did something like AVE’s BOLTR. I think you might be good at something like that. It would probably have to go on the second channel, but I know I’d enjoy it 🤷🏻‍♂️

Eric

As far as 3D print filament, I highly recommend gst3d ive had absolutely no issues with the filament and it’s cheap, $7-10 per roll, but you have to buy in bulk. At least 10 rolls, personally if I remember correctly, I’m on roll 40 that I’ve ordered

Matt Andrejak

Not gonna lie, first video I was kinda bored with. Awesome garage tho.

Misha Dellinger

Man I would kill for a lift like yours! Unfortunately my garage is is only about 10 feet wide and in the back of by apartment building. But someday!

Eric Greenberg

Also it's really a shame that Ryobi discontinued that shop floor sweeping thing, not something I need but I remember seeing it in one of your older videos and finding it pretty cool. Had thought about recommending it to my dad since he runs a machine shop, but I guess that ship has sailed.
