Update on Conjuration Publication
Added 2020-11-20 02:40:38 +0000 UTCI promised that I'd provide updates on where things are in the publication process. At the moment, the manuscript for Conjuration is in the hands of my formatting guy. That's the last step before publication.
Typically what happens is that when I get the file back from my editor, I go through it and look at all of the things she's identified - typos, word usage, etc. My job at that point is to either accept or reject her changes, as well as review her comments and see if she's identified anything that requires me to make additional adjustments.
After that, I typically read through the manuscript one more time, looking for anything else that I might have missed or need to tweak. Only when that is done do I send it out to my formatting guy. Once or twice, I've gotten in a rush and sent it to my formatting guy before that final read-through. What normally follows is that I have to reach out to him with changes and ask that he either insert them or let me send him an updated file. (To his credit, he's such a nice guy that never complains and simply makes the requested changes.)
Anyway, it usually takes him a couple of days to do his thing (depending on what else he has on his plate), so if I'm lucky I may be able to hit publish this weekend, but it may be early next week. Hopefully it will be sooner rather than later.
