First Render of "Warden (Book 3)" Cover
Added 2020-03-13 02:38:17 +0000 UTCI've been asked this a number of times, so I wanted to confirm that there will be more Warden books. I really do like the series and look forward to continuing it. In the meantime, I thought it would be fun to show the first render of the cover art for Book 3 of the series:
As I've mentioned before, the Warden books focus on monsters that don't usually get a lot of airtime: wendigos, lamias, blemmyes, etc. For Book 3, it was the aswang. I actually liked the first whack that my cover artist took at it above. The problem was that I had described the monster as having hair, and as you can see in the original artwork, she's bald. I debated on whether to keep it, but that would have involved changing all the relevant passages in the book, and I was afraid I'd miss something. Thus, in the end, I went with this:
As always, I thought the artwork was great. I feel my cover artist did a good job of capturing the image I had in my head.
Anyway, with any luck, the next cover I post will be an early peek at the cover for Kid Sensation #8. (And in all honesty, I can hardly wait...)
