late to this (sincere apologies) BUT needed the time to properly dedicate to watching this MONUMENTAL episode w you bc the wrap up to River’s story could not be more beautiful :’)🩷 almost wish her name wasn’t in the title so it’s more of a shock when starting the ep and she just appears, but regardless, you’ve felt that bittersweet ache over finally seeing Darillium 🫶🏻😭😭😭 and the little detail of Twelve scanning River w her sonic screwdriver so that she’d be integrated into it, ready for him to save her in The Library? THIS is what Doctor Who really is all about man, the beautiful pain of nostalgia that gets everyone right in the heart. the soundtrack that plays in the background of River’s “it’s like loving the stars themselves” speech and Shepherd’s Boy (the Heaven Sent montage music) are some of my favourite Doctor Who OST’s of all time (Shepherd’s Boy will forever take the cake on that for me as being the best ever, just so emotive and incredible). NEED WE REMEMBER all the times the Doctor rejected the idea of taking “the slow path” w any previous companion? Eleven couldn’t even sit still in Amy and Rory’s house for an hour! but for River, Twelve stayed in one place, on one planet, for 24 whole years. just to be with her. to enjoy every last second he could before she had to go to The Library. GOD I LOVE THIS SHOW AND I LOVE SEEING YOUR REACTIONS TO THE MOST IMPACTFUL MOMENTS LIKE THIS OF WHO !!!!!!!!!!!! ☹️🩷🩷

I'd love to see you react again to her first episodes in the fourth season. It does hit harder after knowing her storyline. I loved your reaction to my favorite Christmas special. Thanks again, Jay, for sharing it with us. ♥️ I'd also like to add Peter's facial expressions while he's realizing she doesn't know The Doctor does love her and how much she loves him are such perfect examples of "Show, don't tell" in story telling. You know exactly what's going through his mind and how hard it hits him.
