Your reaction was what, I think, we expected—not a bad thing in this case, for an episode that is a bit heartbreaking. I would have been happy with another 2 or 3 seasons of Matt; I’m sorry he chose to retire the role. But he left STRONG. If you just skipped over the poem that was in the Christmas Cracker, replay it and then recall Matt’s first episode was “The Eleventh Hour”, as the 11th Doctor, regenerating into #12–who you now know to be Peter Capaldi (a very accomplished actor, and DW alum—“The Fires of Pompeii”). You will enjoy episode 1 of the next season—on my word! I wrote previously we’d be here to hold your hand—knowing full well you would need it (hell, watching the episode again maybe I do too!)… but perhaps *after* you pee, okay? 😉

GET THE FUUUUUCK OUT 😭😭 this episode was such a victory lap of Matt’s run, all the aliens and plot lines coming together - SO beautiful ☹️🩷 YOU MADE IT TO THE END OF ANOTHER ERA OF WHO !!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!!! 🥳 and WELCOME to Peter’s era!!! you’re in for one hell of a ride; if it wasn’t for the nostalgia of growing up w Ten, Twelve would UNDOUBTEDLY be my favourite Doctor, even over Eleven 🥲💙💙 cant wait to see what you think of him!!

It was great to watch you experience all the emotions I did the first time. I have loved every incarnation of The Doctor. Each actor brought something special to the role. Peter Capaldi may take a little while for you to warm up to but you will. I remember the exact moment he became my favorite Doctor. I'm excited to see how you react when you get to that moment.
