Glee - Season 5 Episode 9 (FULL REACTION)

Comments

the feud between rachel/santana is very much based on lea and naya starting to have tension on set (lea was mourning and wouldn’t come out of her trailer on some days, while i don’t agree with her diva behaviour i do think people forget she literally went back to work and carried a show while publicly grieving). I hate that Santana doesn’t get that much hate for what she did to rachel it’s not about the fact she’s her understudy it’s the fact her former bully who made fun of her for wanting this is now ruining her dream, her safe place and Santana was so cruel. Rachel goes back into high school where Santana would do anything to make her life hell and while that’s not her intention here her presence isn’t making rachel comfortable. Also people who claim nayas version is better are lying i love her voice but it’s not made for broadway like leas was.

The comments acting like Santana is sooo innocent is this whole thing, no matter how good and funny her character is people forget that she’s been a horrible person not saying Rachel hasn’t but putting it all on Rachel is just not right. That speech she gave saying Rachel is awful and short and will never be better then her doesn’t sound like someone in the right, again Rachel 100% overrated and acts like a soiled child but Santana acts the exact same way

Jake Sullivan

The Santana/Rachel feud should have been the main storyline of the entire season, not just this episode.

I can sort of understand why Rachel acted like she did, but it shows she is just insecure still and blew it out of proportions. Yeah Santana is brutally confident etc. most of the time, but she was not going to sabotage Rachel to get the lead or hoping every day she'd fail or get sick, so she can step in, she just wanted the foot in the door to fame somehow and figure out her dreams, and that could also be a place to start as an understudy, before Rachel turned it in to a competition. Yeah some really good duets in this episode. And Yeah it kinda seems like Blaine just get a lot handed to him, but nice of him to include Tina and Artie since he wanted to turn the speech into a musical number.

Rachel makes me so mad with how she reacts to Santana being the under study. She acts as if Santana is sabotaging her or trying to take away her role, when really Santana is just trying to figure out what to do with herself and what he dream is. It's not like she competed with Rachel for the part like she would have back in High School.
