“Not if I want answers,” you reply with an edge of sharpness you don’t usually take with the woman.
It makes her softness fade, replaced with a challenging grin. “Then stop whining and get it done.”
You narrow your gaze at her. “You make it very hard to love you.”
“Good.” She is suddenly in front of you, dragging you in for a hard kiss. And then she is off, flitting into the woods; her laugh calls you, taunts you, dares you to follow.
