I adore them both independently and as a couple, and I think they bring out the best in one another. Confession: I once had the thought, “too bad he’s taken...”, but in my defense, I had not yet discovered Ellie. It was simply knowing that someone as sexy as Xander was off-the-market. A few weeks ago, I literally started drafting a comment on one of your audios here, but moved it to my journal because I realized I was leaning into the parasocial aspect a little too hard - and just WROTE what turned out to be essentially the outline of a memoir that I keep saying I need to write. The comment-section-appropriate version is that I’m nearly 40, was raised extremely conservative as was my husband of 16 years. We met at church as teenagers, got married waaaay too young, had 3 kids. Through all this, sex and my sexuality was something I struggled with on a near-constant basis. We left our faith in 2019, moved our family to another state to give us space from our still-super-conservative family to have more freedom be ourselves. Through all that, my husband and I became better and better at communication and working through our own issues, but I still got hung up on sex and feeling comfortable with myself in that way. I found Quinn in October and joined this Patreon soon after and something in my brain just…clicked. Listening to the two of you - especially in your overheards and your AMAs - has helped heal parts of me that I had essentially given up on as irrevocably broken. So, um, thank you for being you and sharing that with internet strangers.

Listening to the two of you talk is so lovely, I've just been bopping around a shopping centre listening. It might just be the kind of person I am, but I really love that the VAs with partners have felt comfortable enough to share that with listeners. I love knowing there's someone in each VAs corner, helping, caring and supporting and in your case, getting involved! Also, Xander answering owl for the other pets question, my husband got to hold an owl once while we were in Scotland and I swear to god, he fell in love with that owl instantly, so an excellent choice. I hate that anyone would send anything negative your way because of feelings they can’t manage. I’m a petty af Taurus who will be very happy to put my energy to fucking them up so if you ever need that just shout. Which brings me to my second comment, about X being a Virgo. I suspected this might be the case after listening to some overheards. My partner is and I think that contributes to me being VERY well taken care of in the bedroom - but sometimes it is a challenge to keep up (I am a mere mortal), he’s good at checking in and reading where I’m at but Ellie if you’ve got any tips to help a girl out on keeping up with this kind of man please send them my way. And if it helps on working with that procrastination side, we just had a conversation about a task this morning that we agreed needing to be done and I followed up with “can I check your understanding of the timeframe on this” 😂 we eventually found a happy medium.

The barely legal MFC paired with a 200+ MMC has always given me the ick, but I’m a sucker for well written fairy smut (though I read ACOTAR and didn’t love it, so you’re not missing anything there). The book gets bonus points if the MFC is in her 30s. 😆 I personally can’t handle thrillers and respect the hell out of people who can. Tess Garritsen is about as tense as I could deal with, but I couldn’t even handle her stuff after I had my first kid. It spikes my anxiety SO bad. 😭
