I loved your reactions in this episode. It was almost exactly what I went through when I saw it for the first time -- the outrage over Meredith and Liz even thinking Alaric could be the killer, then the horror when I realized they were right, and that they'd been setting something like this up since season one, when there were mentions of Jonathan Gilbert being a "mad man" and talk about a "long line of Gilbert crazies."
