They also sell little covers for them. You may not even need that, it helped for us because seeing it just made me think of all the horrific trauma of her almost dying so it was kind of a mindfuck. Stay strong lady!

I Tell them it was the bag or dying and I’m just happy to be alive. I never bring it up to just anyone because not everyone deserves to know the story and they can’t tell I have one unless I mention it (with the belts I wear). Do what you gotta do to feel good about yourself outside of the bag. It’s not an STI you don’t owe anyone an explanation. I think working on self esteem will take you further than calculating when to bring it up/how.
