It's normal to expect a certain quality from H^2, and while I love the writing, it's still a webcomic. If they can't handle the pace, they should go back to one update per month. Quality>Quantity

What i care about is that the moment things were starting to get badass with a badass vriska doing badass stuff, it cut to text. Why ? The patreon is well funded, why were images not a possibility ? I don't even need a [S], but all the stuff before that was hyping up to it. And if i have to say something about the yiffy thing, i sincerely hope it's a ult dirk thing and not something the authors actually thought it was a good idea to put in.

Also just FYI, I'm pretty sure the preferred term is intersex, though as I am not a member of that community I am not 100% positive it applies in this situation due to it not really having any kind of real-life analogue.

Like yes, it's about a ridiculous, uncomfortable thing that is a bit like watching a trainwreck, but that's literally the basis of the entire Candy timeline. Vriska even talks about it in this very chapter! Anyway, just wanted to let you all know that not everyone is displeased about this, and that I hope the people taking it to the point of harassment fucking stop ASAP.

He takes single actions (getting Rose to send John on his mission/leaving Kanaya) which then ensure that the consequences of those actions will be followed through, basically pushed by the people he's manipulating's own psychological weight. Once he's made something happen, it's now Happened, and people have to commit to it because emotionally they feel like they have no other choice. (He's a clever piece of shit, that Ultimate Dirk.)

2020-04-28 04:29:20 +0000 UTCmy thoughts exactly! when Harry was given the strife specibus he seemed to have a kind of "odd feeling" that was similar to the reactions the kids had to the voices in their heads from the exiles I think it's Dirk influencing them to play, to give the story intrigue he probably thinks, hell he probably knows, that his timeline, the "real-canon-three-pillars-and-all" one, won't be that interesting a story to read so he took candy, sweet, saccharine, cloying candy and made it relevant to keep us, the figurative audience, interested in the story by clawing at our hearts with the characters we love in situations that get blown unimaginably out of whack

I'm starting to suspect that he wants four Omega kids to play in another Sburb session. But since HS^2 started, signs of his influence in Candy have started to get more frequent. And this whole conversation takes place in a location of *immense* narrative relevance to him here. I think he just inserted her into the characters' history without any care for how it would fit in or how the people involved would be treated as a logical result.

If so, how is it even possible that they kept this a secret from anyone? Wouldn't literally every single person on the entire planet be able to take one look at Yiffy and immediately know she's the daughter of the only other dog person in existence, who is also a celebrity god? Did they lock Yiffy in a tower like Rapunzel and no one was ever allowed to see her except for Jade and Rose? Did Jade, tormented by years of isolation, submit her own daughter to even more years of isolation, never allowed to talk to anyone her own age or leave the tower/basement/cupboard/doghouse? I feel like this crossed from "The characters as messed-up adults" into "the characters are straight up evil".

2020-04-27 22:36:26 +0000 UTCWait.. so is Jade actually a hermaphrodite now? in the Epilogues I assumed it was due to her Dog Genes that she couldn't get pregnant, but if she was able to impregnate Rose then that isn't the issue and from how Rose worded it they physically had a baby, meaning Jade has the... equipment to impregnate Rose but lacks... the parts to be able to be pregnant herself. Genuinely curious about where this is going but honestly a bit unhappy about how I am reading into the situation right now.
