Development Update - 13th of July

Main Story

As of today, pretty much everything is ready for the next update. We're just testing it and preparing the final touches.

Usually, I get the game updates "built" about a day before the release. With the last couple of updates, we've had some minor glossary bugs that I might have picked up if I'd allowed myself more time for testing. Hopefully, with this build being ready almost a week before the release, we can make it the norm to have builds ready earlier moving forward.

The work on this release will be over in the next day or two, and we'll start on the subsequent updates.

Our original plan had four more main story updates after this one. However, these are all slightly shorter than our usual updates. We will look to merge these four updates into fewer updates (possibly two more instead of four). This will hopefully make the final updates feel chunkier. We've also focused a little less on the sex in the final updates and more on the story, so it will also avoid any updates without sex scenes.

I have already mapped out these subsequent "four" updates in the code. While various adjustments are still needed, we're trying to prepare future updates as much as possible to get the whole main story of Realm 3 out as soon as possible. We are progressing well, and things are moving smoothly on this front.

Side Paths

Similar to last week's progress report, side paths have been put on the back burner while we focus on the main story (except for preparing a couple of other paths we haven't posed yet).

We feel it will be more satisfying for you to experience the main story without any significant development gaps, then for you to be able to play the side paths as you wait for us to begin releasing Realm 4.

It also allows us to streamline our work by focusing on one main task at a time.
