SHOM picks up the STICK!

A hardened biological mass that was once part of a greater being. A single leaf still clings to it, gathering chlorophyll.

SHOM heads down the OVERGROWN PATH.

You are now in the DEEP WOODS. Along the overgrown path is a treasure trove of MUSHROOMS.

You can't identify any of them.

As a seasoned forest-goer, you know better than to snack on random MUSHROOMS in the woods. After all, they may be POISONOUS.

𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩... 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝, 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮. 𝐈𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐖𝐇𝐈𝐌𝐒𝐘. 𝐈𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝟐. 𝐈𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐢𝐭.

The PINK MUSHROOM has a foul smell, whereas the PURPLE and GREEN ones don't have much of a smell at all. The PURPLE one looks dead, and the GREEN one vibrates gently.
