Greetings adventurers!

Craftsmen of these lands never cease to amaze me with their ideas. Sometimes it’s as simple as someone asking me a seemingly silly question, but then it gets my mind moving in all kinds of new ways. For example, I had a friend come to me recently complaining that the worst part of throwing knives was actually having to throw them. In my mind, I had never considered it, but he’s right. We have telekinesis. Why in the world are we not using that to take care of throwing things for us. Well I got to work and he got to forging and what we came up with was something astounding.

Our patrons get early access to all of these items as well as additional formats that are easily usable in both physical and online play for D&D and Pathfinder 2E. Additionally they get high-res art exports, easy to use text exports, behind the scenes updates, and a lot more.

If that strikes your fancy, consider becoming a Patron

Design notes from Matthew:

I mentioned last week that sometimes we have ideas for item pairs, but this week is the second half of what we released last week. I consider this to be the finisher of the setup the goop gun provided last week. I had been wanting to do something with commanding little darts for a bit, but Fernando had the idea of pairing it with the goop gun and well that’s basically how our stuff gets started. One little idea can snowball a lot and that’s one of my favorite things about developing content.

On the 5E version. I wanted to offer some opportunity cost up front and not just make it free damage. I’m always careful about what I offer as a bonus action, but in this case I think it makes sense as you would likely set it up at the start of your turn and try to pay it off with an attack right after. The damage itself was something I had to consider for a bit, but I wanted to make sure it would remain a somewhat useful damage buff into higher levels.

For the PF2E version. I really enjoy the idea of free actions, but you have to be careful when you’re going to give opportunities to use them. In this case, I thought that tying it to successful ranged strikes allowed it to hit the balance I wanted. It would be difficult to just spam all three of them in one turn due to MAP, but it does offer the possibility if someone wants to try for it. I’m all about giving people those options.

It’s wild to think we’re over 200 items now and the well still hasn’t run dry. I’m kind of proud of that. This was super fun to work on a little item pairing and I hope you might consider offering it up to your players if it makes sense for them. As always, we appreciate your continued support!

We highly encourage you to join our Discord server where you’ll get access to exclusive channels that have sneak peeks, behind the scenes chatter, and more.
