Added 2025-08-04 15:00:15 +0000 UTC"Everybody Knows" is an attempt to create a groove in 5/4, inspired by this song. I find the feeling of "drag" caused by the groove in this time signature interesting. It reminded me a bit of some South American native rhythms, where there's a feeling of constant tempo changes in every bar of the groove, caused only by the position of the hits. In this case, though, it's caused by the non-symmetrical nature of 5/4.
"Pilot Plate" is an idea that emerged from patch design.
