Our cat, Coo, sums it all up right now.
We got home from Dragon Con last Wednesday and have been running around playing catch up since then. Errands, cleaning, chores, shopping...there is a lot that gets set aside when a big show like DC looms. And it all needs to be taken care of afterwards. At some point the pre-con prep, a 22 hour drive, load-in/set-up, long hours, constant crowds, too little sleep, tear-down/load-out, and another 22 hour drive takes its toll, and that's when you finally crash.
Doing shows is exhausting, and you don't really know just how much so until you've done one. Or several, especially back-to-back.
So yesterday and today are my energy crash days, but alas there is no time to rest. The Santa Fe Renaissance Faire is this weekend, and there is still much to do.
Hopefully I'll be able to get back to art here, but we need another show after SFRF, so we'll see what happens. At least in October we won't(?) have a show until the end of the month so -hopefully- I'll be able to get more commissions done then.
Onwards and upwards. I hope I will see some of you at the shows!
